Chapter 16

(Hey guys! I'm so sorry that it ha been forever since i have updated! i have been super busy but now i will try and update more often like i used to x enjoy this next chapter x vote and comment!!! ILY <3 x )

I wake up to the sound of my mum cooking. I check the time and it is quite early, only 8:15. I get up and put on my robe and head downstairs. As I walk down the stairs, I can smell the delicious smell of bacon and eggs and it makes my mouth water. It's different to my usual banana smoothie but I love having a savory treat sometimes. But, my mum never cooks breakfast, so I wonder what's up? Well, I know what's up but I wonder if she is finally going to admit it. Probably not. I still can't believe she is hiding this from me, and Jade deserves to know. I have to get it out of her somehow.

"Good morning darling, how are you!" she's happy

"Uhm I'm good thanks, you're happy this morning" I say

"Since when am I ever not happy?" she says with a smile and I just smile back as my reply.

Jade is sitting at the bench eating her eggs, bacon and toast and it looks so good.

"Good morning Macey!" Jade squeals as if she was excited to see me, she is so cute.

"Morning jade!" I say and give her a hug and she smiles.

"So what do you girls have planned for today?" my mum asks

"I am going to south bank with Skylar, I mean... If that's okay with you?" I answer

"Yeah, that's fine. I'm glad you guys are so close, you have been friends for so long"

"Yeah we have, I couldn't live without her"

I sit down and have some bacon and eggs andn it tastes delicious, what's with mum all of a sudden? She is so happy

I finish my gourmet meal, "I might go up to my room and get ready, thanks for breakfast, it was delicious"

"Thank you" she responds

I had upstairs to get dressed and this time, I go into my cupboard where all my brand new clothes are. I think to myself – what would Skylar want me to wear?

I walk to the cupboard having no idea what I am going to wear so I flip through some magazines in hope to find some inspiration......

I eventually come across this outfit that some random model is wearing and try to replicate it. I pull out a pair of dark blue high wasted jean shorts and a camel brown plain silk cropped t-shirt. I then put a pair of my red doc martins on. I love my outfit; I think I look really cool.

I call Skylar and ask if she is ready to go to Southbank

"Hey s!"

"Hey mace, what's up?"

"Oh nothing" she says

"Well are you ready to go to Southbank?"

"What?"

"Southbank, we are going today, remember? Are you ready?"

"Oh my gosh I completely forgot I lost track of time!"

"How could you lose trace of time, its like 9 am..."? I say and I'm annoyed

"I don't know, I just was" she pauses "watching TV"

"Oh, okay" I say disappointed she didn't tell the truth; I know she is hiding something from me.

"Sorry, um, would we be able to like go around lunch time? I'm just like in the middle of a movie and I will need heaps of time to get ready"

"Yep, whatever, I guess just call me when your ready" I say disappointed, I have to find out the truth

I start to head downstairs to find my mum

"Hey mum, I'm going to head off to Southbank now so I will keep in contact with you"

"Alright, have fun"

I had to make up an excuse to go out and spy on Skylar since I was already going to go to Southbank I just figured I would tell her I'm going there now

I head out the door and walk to Skylar's house. When I reach their driveway I don't see any cars so her dad must be out. I don't want to just barge into her house and ask her what's up so I decide to go around the outside of the house and creep against the walls. I feel like some spy/burglar and it feels so weird. I shouldn't have to be sneaking around like this if she would just tell me what's up but she didn't so I have to do this. I walk to her bedroom window and try to be as hidden as I can to see if she is in there. I can't see anything so I move my head a little to the right to see if she is in her bed. I see her sitting on her bed so I look a little further to the right and when I do, I see her making out with... CALLUM!! No way! Her and Cullum! Why didn't she tell me! She has been crushing on Cullum for like, EVER! Why are they hooking up! I didn't even know he knew who she was. How long has this been going on for? And if Stacy finds out she will destroy her because she is in love with him. But why would Cullum go for someone who isn't in their group? This makes no sense, and the worst thing is that she never told me about it, and I have no idea why. We tell each other everything! I look back in the window and I see something I did not want to see. They are at second base! I never thought Skylar would ever be like that! I can't believe this!!! My thoughts break by the loud sound of my phone ringing and it gives me the biggest fright! I quickly duck down so she won't see me and I answer the phone and run back out on the street and away from that house. As I put the phone to my ear, I hear my mother.

"MACEY GET HOME RIGHT NOW! YOU ARE IN BIG TROUBLE, BIG BIG TROUBLE!" and she hangs up

What? I didn't do anything wrong? I start to hurry home wondering what she is going to say.
