Chapter 35

I wake up feeling great. That date with PJ was amazing. I check my phone to see that its 11 o'clock! I call Skylar immediately to fill her in about my date.

"Big night?" Skylark asks as soon as she answers.

"Not really, but it was so fun s! PJ is amazing! He is so so nice! and he was so thoughtful and really good to talk to!"

"Sounds like you had a good night!"

"It was so fun! and OMG you will never guess who we saw! Mr hemmingsworth!" i say.

"OMG REALLY! Did he look hot?" she asks.

"I don't know, i wasn't interested in him," i say, but in actual fact, i noticed every detail about how he looked. The grey t-shirt and black jeans with his unshaved scruffy jawline and loose hair. he is so dreamy.

"So, did you kiss him!?" she asks.

"WHAT! WHY WOULD I KISS MR HEMMINGSWORTH! Thats stupid! i would never do that!"

"Woah, chill dude, i meant PJ! Did you kiss PJ!?" she re-explains. OOOHHH.

"Haha, sorry. and no, we didn't kiss actually. When he dropped me home, he kissed me on the cheek, it was so cute, but thats it! He didn't try anything else! He is actually a really good guy!"

"Aw thats so cute! I think you guys will make the cutest couple!"

"Yeah!"

I continue to tell her about my date and the how we should go to the restaurant and after half an hour of talking, i finally go downstairs to have some breakfast. I find a note on the counter saying 'got called into work sorry, I will be home around 5, and Jade is at a friends house, I will pick her up on my way home, there is food in the fridge or go out I don't mind. Hope you had a great date xxx Mum'
Great, I have the house to myself! This is good! Maybe I can invite Luke over to talk about stuff and then maybe hang with PJ later! I quickly grab an apple from the fruit bowel and call Luke. I feel a twitch in my stomach. I think I'm nervous! I find myself with my phone by my ear, listening to the sounds of the dial tone as I wait for him to answer.

"Hello?" He answers with a deep musky voice, I must have woken him up.

"Hey, it's Macey! Can you come over, I think we need to talk, and don't worry, I have the house to myself"

"Yeah sure, I'll be there in about 45 minutes?" He says with question to see if I can wait that long.

"Yeah sure, see you then!" I say and hang up the phone.

I'm glad that's over and done with, now I can relax until he comes over. But I'm having a craving for hot chocolate. Yep, okay I'm going to go get a hot chocolate to kill time.

I jump into my car and drive out to the coffee shop down the road from my house. I get out of the car and walk to the counter to a friendly smile from an old lady at the counter. It feels so welcoming.

"What can I get for you today sweetie?" She asks. That's so motherly to call me sweetie, considering the fact that I don't even know her!

"I'll get a large hot chocolate please" I say.

"That will be $4.70 thanks" she says and I hand her the money. This place does really good hot chocolate!

As I sit along the red cushioned window seat, i have a memory of my dad. We always used to sit in this spot, I remember we always used to play that game who can spot the most red cars. I miss him.
"Here you go lovely," i hear and as I turn around, I am greeted with that same warm smile from the old lady at the counter.
