Chapter 15

"Hey mum, how was your day at work," I say wondering what her reply will be

"Great thanks"

"So what happened at work today?" I say curiously

"Nothing much, just a usual day at work, how was your day, how was jades party?" she tries to change the subject

"Yeah her party was good," I say in an annoyed tone

"That's good, well I'm going to go have a shower but did you just want to get takeaway for dinner, I'm quite exhausted from today" hmm, I wonder why, its not like she did any work...

"Yeah, we can just get pizza"

"Okay, you can order it, just order me my usual"

"Yep" I say with attitude as she walks away

I order the pizza and go upstairs and see Jade still on my bed so I just let her stay there. I feel so bad for her; I really don't want her to have a bad social life like me. Before I know it, the pizza has arrived so I bring it up to my room and we eat it on my bed. I love fresh hot pizza; it is the best thing to have on a big day.

"Why do you have these under your pillow?" Jade says as she gestures to the cigarettes under my pillow

Skylar must have put them under my pillow before she left, oh no. What do I say?

"Um, I don't know, they aren't mine"

"Well who's are they?"

"Uhhmm, well, I am holding them for a friend"

"You and I both know that's a lie "she says, she is so smart for her age.

"Yeah, I know. But you have to promise not to tell anyone, especially mum, okay?"

"Yeah sure, but why do you have them?"

"Well, I don't like them, I think they are disgusting but, I know this sound stupid but skylark and I are trying to get in with this group at school, Abby's group, and this is what they do. I am totally against it but I need it, to fit in, you know?"

"I thought you were popular? Why would you need to do that Macey, you don't need people like them, you have Skylar"

"Yeah I know but we just want to have fun for our last year of school"

"I guess so, but please don't get into trouble, I really don't know what I would do if anything happened to you, you're my best friend, I love you Macey"

That's so cute, I love her too

"I love you to jade" I say and hug her. She is so mature and understanding

"Thank you for understanding" I say to her

I put Jade to bed and call Skylar, she answers on the second ring

"HEY!" she says excitedly

"Hey, your in a good mood haha" I reply

"Haha yeah I guess so"

"Why are you so happy?"

"Haha, well, it doesn't really matter" she says and it doesn't bother me that she won't tell me, she is most likely going to blabber it out later

"So what's up!" she says

"So Jade found the cigarettes"

"WHAT! ARE YOU JOKING!"

"no, but she was cool about it, she is so mature for her age, she is the best sister"

"aw, she is so cute, I love her haha"

"haha yeah, she is pretty cute"

"so anyway, I was thinking that we could have a party!"

"wait, what do you mean" I say confused but knowing what she means

"you know, have a massive party"

"are you sure, how would we even have a party, where, when, how do we host it, and nobody will come" I say frantically

"whoa, dude, stop stressing about it, it will be fine! just chill out"

"I will have to think about this, I'm not too sure about it, since what happened at the last party" I say nervously

"okay, but please think about it! because this could really do something for us! please, and are we still going to that place we found today?"

"yeah, we will! I actually can't believe we found that place! it is like the most amazing place, do you think anyone knows about it?"

"I don't know, maybe. but lets discover it more tomorrow, I'm quite tired so I'm gonna head off to bed now, cyan"

"alright, see you tomorrow" I say and hang up the phone

I hang up the phone and start to head to sleep, thinking about this party. I really don't know what to do about it. and I defiantly don't want it to be at my house because my mum will get so mad. images and thoughts start to flood into my head about my mum and I want to push them away. I can't believe she would do this, and with Skylar's dad! I really just don't know what to think. is it good or bad. what if they broke up, that could ruin my friendship with Skylar! and how long have they been dating for? I will have to talk to Skylar tomorrow and see if she noticed anything a few weeks ago. But what if none of this is true, and if it wasn't my mum, or if it wasn't Skylar's dad. ohh I don't know. I check my watch and it has been an hour of me thinking about all these problems going on in my life. I decide to try and stop thinking about it and go to sleep. I start counting sheep and it seems to work and before I know it, I'm asleep.
