Studying, studying, more studying

"GILLIAN COBBLER WAKE UP!!!!" Miri tries, and fails to get me out of bed. I roll over and use my pillows to cover my ears. "UGH!" Miri huffs. Silence. Does that mean Miri gave up? BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP. Nope, she just came back with an alarm clock. Just great. "Miri make it stop!" Kayla groans from atop her bed. "Not until Gilly get's out of bed!" I cover myself with the blanket. "Miriiiii! Can't the punishment not punish me? Miri? Ugh, she's gone again." I hear Kayla whine. KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK. How does she knock? "Gilly? Wake up! You've got homework!" It's not Miri, it's Jax. "Later!!" I scream. "Emm, ok? But later we have to do something." Jax tells me. "Do what?" I whine, trying to sleep. "I don't know, Flora wants to see us about something." "Jax is right, Gilly!" Miri sings. I scream, really, really, loudly. Miri bursts out laughing. The knocking becomes louder. "Gilly? What's going on?" Jax's voice becomes kind of frantic. "Nothing!" I snap, sitting up, now Miri has ruined my sleep. "Just Miri." I get up and grab my boots. Kayla rolls over, "Don't forget to change." I smirk, "I already did." Kayla opens one eye, then points at my clothes. "You're wearing that?" she asks. I look down at my FTRS uniform, it's slightly crumpled- fine, very crumpled, but I don't really care. "Yeah, so??" Kayla looks at me like I've grew three more heads. "What? " I demand. Kayla shakes her head. "Nothing." I open the door and walk out. Jax stares. Why is everyone staring at me today? "What?" I ask, for the second time today. "I thought you'd never come out." Jax teases. I punch him in the shoulder, "I would never come out but someone decided to side with Miri and wake me up! What kind of friend are you?" I say. Jax laughs, "One who interrupts your sleep obviously!" I open my mouth to say something but Jocelyn beats me. "Will you two stop flirting and get going?" Jocelyn asks. I turn bright red, so does Jax. "We're not-"  Jocelyn walks away before I can finish my sentence. "Come on," Jax tugs on my arm, "We have work to do." For once, I follow him without trying to find an excuse.

*Time skip*

I stare at the textbook, the words blurring before my eyes. Jax pokes me in the ribs. "Focus!" he says. "I'm trying!" I groan, "I can't study for two hours straight!" We've doing this for exactly two hours. "Well try!" Jax insists. I force my eyes to focus on the words. I read one more paragraph, the last paragraph to be exact. "Done!" I flop backwards onto the floor. Jax looks up, surprised. "I can focus if I want to." I tell him. Jax puts down his book, he has already finished and has been waiting for me to finish for the past hour. "Alright, quiz time." I stare at him in disbelief. "What? I need to make sure you actually read! Ok, what are the uses of Pixie dust?" I sigh and answer him correctly. Jax gapes. I smile, "Anyways, me and Kayla have a fairy session with Angelina soooooo..." I prance out the door. Me and Kayla don't really have a fairy session with Angelina, we actually have a lesson with Red. She's teaching us how to protect ourselves, and the reason it's only me and Kayla, well, it's because we couldn't all sneak away and me and Kayla are fairies so we can just say we have a fairy session. Also because our families have been the target for Rumplestiltskin and Alva before, so we need to learn to protect ourselves and our family. And the reason everyone else doesn't know we're doing that is because it might just make everyone start panicking because they think Alva is back or something. But Jax, Maxine, Ollie, and Jocelyn will probably think that we're just paranoid-I guess we kind of are.

*Time skip*

"Gilly, balance. Like Kayla is doing." Red tells me. "I'm trying!" I wobble on the thin railing. We were practicing balance on a very thin railing. I tilt forward. Kayla yelps as I almost knock her off. "Watch it!" Kayla says. "Sorry!" I try, and fail to keep my balance. I fall head first into a bush. "Gilly, are you ok?" Red comes over to me. I sit up and rub my head, "Yep! Nothing like falling head first into a bush!" Kayla laughs. "Alright, you two better get back now, it's getting late." Red says, looking up at the sky. I sigh in relief, we've been doing the same thing for hours and I am seriously tired of falling off. We trudge back to our dorm. "Kayla! Gilly!" Maxine yells, running at us. She stops in front of us, "Wow, what happened?" At first, I'm confused, then I remember that I've got leaves sticking out of my hair from falling into bushes. "We tried teaching Gilly how to fly but she kept on falling into bushes." Kayla lies. "Oh, ok. Anyways, Gilly, Tessa wants to know if you're still in the RLWs." Maxine says. She looks at me hopefully, I notice that she's wearing her RLW sash. "Umm, maybe.... I don' t know." I say, "We need to get to bed before Miri comes yelling at us again. Oh and Wilson says to say hi to Peaches for him." Maxine nods, then bounds off. "Are you ready?" Kayla asks me as we get into bed. "Ready for what?" I ask. "The test, obviously." "Oh, yeah." I say casually. "Now let me catch up on the sleep that Miri interrupted this morning." "Jax did it too!" Kayla reminds me. "Yeah, well I'll get back at him later." I cover my head with my blanket and roll over, "Good night."
