I'm so original with the title right? :DDD

Gilly's P.O.V.

Jax is helping me.

For some weird reason, the room feels incredibly hot right now.

My face flushes slightly, am I sick?

Jax keeps his hand on my elbow as I rise, preventing me from falling face-first onto the floor in front of tons of people and reporters.

I make a mental note to thank him later as I face the surprisingly intimidating royals - no, actually, the only one who's actually intimidating is the king. I don't think anyone can be scared of a group of girls in prissy gowns.

From the corner of my eye, I notice Raz shooting a weird look to someone to the side. Who would she be sending looks to?

"Gillian Cobbler," A deep voice interrupts my thoughts, bringing me back to reality.

Jax's P.O.V.

I have never been more thankful for the bows boys must do than today. Because of the method of bowing, I could help Gilly.

Honestly, I was half terrified that I'd miss her elbow and just bump into her, knocking her completely off balance, but it looks like luck is on my side today. I just hope that luck will do me some good a little more and make sure no one sees me doing this. If the HEAS reporters catch this, I will never hear the end of it.

As we rise I catch Raz's eye. She's shooting me a knowing look. I give her a side-eye - which, again, I hope no one sees me doing this - before turning back to my father.

He starts speaking, addressing Gilly first and thanking her for helping to protect the kingdom. Meanwhile, Raz just won't leave me be and keeps on giving me looks.

I try to glare at her as subtly as possible, at this rate the whole kingdom will see us shooting looks at each other.

In response, she just grins at me. I make an attempt to give her a death stare while trying to look respectable and well, not like I'm disrespecting my father. I swear, if the whole kingdom finds out that I like Gilly, I'm going to kill Raz.

"Jaxon," Father suddenly calls me. I wipe all emotion off my face so that no one sees me making faces, then look at him. He's giving me a weird look, small enough not to be noticed by the reporters, but big enough so that he knows that I know that he knows something's going on.

"You have done much to help this kingdom despite your young age, I'm sure you will make a more than capable ruler one day,"

I bow and say thank you before we all rush off the stage into the bustling crowd.

Gilly's P.O.V.

I rush off the stage in relief, that was probably the most uncomfortable ten minutes of my life. As soon as we reach the floor, the waves of people swallow us, making me lose sight of the others. As conspicuously as possible, I push through the swarm, finding a less crowded area. Conveniently situated by the food table.

No surprise, Ollie's already there, stuffing his face with everything in his sight.

"Hey, Gilly!" Ollie waves cheerily, "Try this cake! It's really good!" He hands me a red velvet cupcake.

"Thanks," I say, before biting into it. He's right, it is good, why can't we have food like this in RLW meetings?

Who would've thought I would be able to find some peace and quiet in a ball?
