The Dreaded Day

Gilly's P.O.V.

"Gilly!!!!" Maxine and Kayla barge in, the prissy gowns just arrived and Anna went off to find her friends.

"Oh my goodness!!!!!" Maxine squeals, looking at the poofy mess on my bed, "It looks amazing, Gilly! Let's get you dressed!"

"Noooooo," I groan, "It's too early, we still have time!"

"Don't be silly, it's already an hour to! Maxine and I already changed," Kayla says. She's not wrong, Maxine is wearing a huge light pink dress covered in glitter - or sparkles, I don't know - with these huge poofy sleeves like Odette from the Swan Princess or something.  The bodice has shiny, silver, gems intricately stuck onto it.

Kayla has a silver and royal blue (you can thank Anna and Marta for my newfound color expertise) dress. The top half is silver with something that looks like those sticker gems stuck on it in a patterned way. The silver part is in a V shape and covered with a mesh-like material you can't really see. The mesh goes from the top to the sleeves, also covered in sticker gems.

The skirt part is a royal blue layered mesh with some sticker gems near the waist - what's with this dress and sticker gems?

"AG is joining us in a bit," Maxine tells me as she picks up my gown. "Oh look! There are pants!"

I grunt in response, that was the only thing acceptable about that dress.

"Get up, lazy bones, time to get changed." Kayla pulls me up by the arms.

*Time skip*

I glower at my reflection, Kayla, Maxine, and even AG forced me into the gown. Speaking of AG, she's wearing a pretty pink dress that suits her completely. The top is a smooth pink cloth with matching pink flowers bunching in a neat, orderly, streak going to the right shoulder. The sleeves are long, flowy, pink mesh. The skirt is long and pink too, with glitter - what's with everyone and sparkles/glitter?

"You look amazing!" AG smiles.

I try my best to give her at least half a smile, this is the worst day of my life.

"Hey, at least you got your boots right?" Kayla says to me, she's not wrong, but still.

"I can't believe I'm doing this," I groan.

"Neither can I," Jocelyn smirks from the doorway.

"What are you doing here, witch?"

"Mocking you, I thought that was obvious?" Jocelyn replies.

"Well, you look like you just went to a funeral," I snap back, she's wearing a black dress that went down past her feet. The dark color faded towards the end into a translucent white. The bodice is covered in what looks like black feathers carved from metal or something, little pearl-like circles dotted on the bodice in a dispersed kind of way if you know what I mean.

The skirt part is dusted with glitter and sparkles just like all the others' gowns. I'm pretty sure she's wearing black heels as well.

"Gilly!" Anna pops her head in from behind Jocelyn, she's in her gown as well, "I'm really sorry but Mother insisted that you make a good impression when she found out HEAS is gonna interview you so... she sent these over," she walks into the room and hands me a box. "It was something Father was working on anyway but they decided to take it and turn it into this for you,"

I don't know whether I should feel touched or horrified, it's sweet of them to make shoes for me but... I cannot handle any more of this.

Jocelyn cackles from the doorway, I shoot a glare at her. If looks could kill, she would be so dead right now.
