Gilly's P.O.V.

I cross my arms and stare out the window, slouching as I do so.

"Gilly, you should appreciate that Princess Rapunzel arranged this for us." Mother tells me.

I don't respond, it's not that I'm not thankful for Raz, it's just that I don't want to join the ball.  Especially not in a big poofy dress I can barely move in.

Anna has a huge grin on her face, she's obviously ecstatic about this. Trixie stares out the window eagerly, asking if we're there yet every couple minutes, Felix is reading his book quietly, and as for Han and Hamish, well, they're fighting over a toy.

We pull up in front of a large fancy building, meant for royals for sure. No one else would have buildings this extravagant.

A doorman opens the carriage door for us. Raz sent us a carriage for the occasion. I'm thankful, but I'd rather ride pegasi or something. A smartly dressed man steps up to us, "The Cobblers, I presume?"

"Yes," Father replies curtly.

"Please follow me," the man gives us a deep bow before entering the gleaming doors. I fidget a little, seeing the man bow has just reminded me that I'll probably have to curtsy at some point today too. Great, another way for me to look like an absolute fool.

Grumpily, I trudge after him. As we walk, I hear Anna's gasps of amazement and Trixie's squeals. Han and Hamish were yelling about how something was amazing every couple of minutes, earning shushes from Mother. Felix joined the wowed group as well. I didn't bother to look up, just staring at the floor, and following the pair of feet that were just in my line of vision.

Can't believe I have to do this, I think I might rather have a life-threatening, pain in the back, scheming villain at my heels. At least then I could be myself, now I don't even know what I'm doing with my life.

In the midst of my thoughts, I didn't realize that I lost track of the fancily dressed man. I pick up my pace hastily and nearly slam face-first into the man. I jerk backwards just as he turns around and bows once again, "We have arrived," he announces, briefly glancing at me.

"Thank you, sir." Father says to him, before turning back around to face us, "Alright, who's first?"

Both Trixie and Anna shoot their hands up eagerly.

"Trixie, let Anna go first, ok?" Mother pipes up, "We can look for accessories while we wait."

Trixie nods vigorously, "I want to find a super pretty crown to wear and bows!"

"We'll find a crown and bows," Mother replies, "How about you, Gilly?"

I shake my head, "I don't want anything. Unless we're buying from Red's Ready for Anything Shoppe."

Mother sighs, "Alright then, wait here." She takes Han and Hamish's hands and takes them with her and Trixie, promising them muffins from Gnome-olia bakery.

I sit there and watch as the dress-fitting lady takes Anna's measurements while chatting with Anna about the type of dress she would like. I started to zone out when they started discussing the material and color, and something to do with style and fashion.

They end up going with a light purple dress. The top part has capped sleeves in a white mesh-y-looking material going down a little past the shoulders and underneath, there's a light purple flower pattern all the way down to the waist, with a large pink satin bow tied at the waist. The actual skirt is a very large, very poofy white tulle material with light purple tulle topping off the front. They even took it a step further and added a pink satin bow to her hair.
