Gilly's P.O.V.
A couple of hours have passed since we called for help. At first, they tried sending pegasi over, but the force of their wings just made the carriage more unstable. Then, they tried sending Blue over, but as soon as I touched Blue, I got an electric shock and would've fallen if it wasn't for Devin. Now, we're just sitting here, waiting for them to come up with another solution. If Harlow and Jocelyn weren't sick we might be in safety by now.
I sigh and stare at the ceiling. It's about midday now and I'm starting to get hungry. Devin is chatting with birds that dropped by, probably trying to find a way out of here. I've never missed Wilson more than I do now.
I peer down, a crowd is starting to gather down below. Word's most likely gotten out that there's been a malfunction with the new transport. I squint, trying to identify the people.
"Gilly,"
I turn around.
"They said they'll try to see if they can bring the snapped cable back up so we could try tying it back together." Devin says, gesturing to the two birds perched on the door.
I nod, "Thanks,"
Jax's P.O.V.
I sit beside Father at the meeting table, he and the king of the Silverveil Kingdom are currently negotiating trade rules.
"If I may," I interrupt, "Allowing trades with regulations may reduce illegal activity, additionally, educating people about the dangers of illegal trade would encourage citizens to purchase only authorized goods."
"Hmm," Father strokes his chin, "Not a bad idea."
"Yes," King Ronald - king of Silverveil - agrees, "This could work."
Knock, knock, knock!
"Pardon me, your Majesties," a well-dressed man with slick grey hair enters the room. I recognize him as the man in charge of the Department of Welfare. He strides over to Father and whispers something in his ear.
"I'm sorry, please give me a moment," Father tells King Ronald, before turning back to the man. "Have they tried the pegasi?" he asks. The man nods. "Didn't work?"
"The force of their wings is too strong, if they got too close the remaining cable may snap."
"How about the carpet?"
"Static electricity."
"Harlow?"
"She's sick. And so is her sister."
Father closes his eyes and pinches the bridge of his nose, "How about the fairies?"
"We can try but we would be pushing them to their limits."
"Try finding some alternatives, keep me updated on what's going on."
The man bows and then exits the room.
"I'm sorry about that," Father tells us, "There's been a technicality back in Enchantasia I'm afraid."
"Ah, no worries." King Ronald assures him, "I've had my fair share of issues during meetings as well."
What are they talking about? What happened in Enchantasia? And what's it got anything to do with cables?
Is everything ok back there? Gilly and Ollie haven't gotten themselves into any trouble have they? Please tell me they haven't gone and done something stupid. I shift in my seat, I'm starting to get anxious. Surely AG or Kayla would stop them from doing anything stupid, right? Right?
