Gilly

Heyyyy! Sorry for taking like another whole month! TBH I actually wrote a draft of this chapter when I finished the last, I just forgot about it... hehehe..... I kinda got caught up in another one of my 'OMG I HAVEN'T SEEN THIS SHOW/BOOK FOR SO LONGGGG! I NEED TO OBSESS OVER IT FOR SOME TIMEEEE' phases. Anyway, I'll stop talking and let you get on with the story.

Jocelyn's P.O.V.

"Where is she?" Jax mutters as we wander through the halls.

I smirk at the sight of it, they have absolutely no idea how obvious they're being. "Maybe she's gone to bed," I suggest. 

"That could be an option," Kayla nods, "I mean, she's probably tired after all she's been through."

From the corner of my eye, I see Anna skipping over happily. 

"Anna!" I wave my hand, "Do you know where's Gilly?"

"Gilly? She's in our room, she's already been here for hours." She says happily, "Nice to see that you're back." 

"Come on! Let's go!" Jax waves at us frantically.

"Of course." I say, stretching my words, "We wouldn't want you not to see Gilly would we?"

"You're being weird." He says to me.

"Whaaat? I mean, I guess I am since someone is just so oblivious it's hard not to." I smirk.

"You don't make any sense." He looks at me like I'm in need of therapy then take off, rounding the corner.

"OWWWWW!" A yelp sounded not long after.

I sigh, then jog to catch up. I turn the corner and see Jax and Gilly sitting on the ground, Gilly rubbing her slightly swelling forehead and Jax holding his side.

"Didn't know you were that eager," I say.

Jax glared at me.

"Gilly!" Kayla and Maxine tackle Gilly in a big bear hug. 

"Hey, umm, I can't breath." Gilly's muffled voice comes out.

Kayla and Maxine let go of her. 

Jax gets up and hugs her, "That was such a stupid decision."

I hear him say.

"Hey! I'd like to see you try and just stand by while watching your pet get swept away by a huge wave." Gilly retorts

"You could've asked Kayla or Jocelyn to use their magic!"

"Do you think I could think straight at the time?"

"As fun as this is to watch, you should probably stop there before it escalates into one of your 'I'm not gonna talk to you forever' situations." I interrupt

"We never had an 'I'm not gonna talk to you forever' situation!" Jax protests.

"Oh yeah? What about your fight about Jack?"

"That was different! And it wasn't an 'I'm not gonna talk to you forever situation'" Gilly joins, "Like Jax said, we never had one."

I turn to Kayla, "I feel like I'm teaching babies how to count."

"Well, they aren't exactly wrong," Kayla says,

"Exact-" Jax begins.

"Because," Kayla continues, "In that situation one was jealous and the other was oblivious."

I smirk, this is why I was friends with Kayla first.

"What do you mean?!" Jax stutters, "No one was jealous!"

"Yeah right." I say, "You totally weren't jealous of Jack."

"Of course not! Why would I be? I was just mad at him for taking my place as best friend!"

"I told you already!" Gilly says exasperatedly, "He didn't take your spot as best friend! He was just telling me something he thought I needed to know!"

"More like tricking you into believing something so he is benefited." Jax points out.

"That was before!" 

"Why are you on his side?"

"Because I might've done the same if I was in his place!"

"You wouldn't! You know the difference between right and wrong!"

"Well, he was new!"

"Alright, alright." I step in, "The point is, the prince got jealous of the newbie because he was spending too much time with Cobbler. Now can we please go get some dinner? We've been watching you two argue for thirty minutes already." I give Gilly a nudge so she moves, then I push her away, Kayla and Maxine behind us.

Out of the corner of my eye, I see Jax trying to process what I just said.

"Hey! I already said I wasn't jealous!" He yells, running up to us.

I smile then push Gilly a little harder, implying for her to start running. For once, me and Cobble smile at each other, then we both take off running. Jax yelling behind us.
