Land Ho

Jocelyn's P.O.V.

"Uh, guys, I feel a bit sick." Maxine says as she stumbles into our cabin.

I stand up immediately, dropping my spell book. "What?! Then why are you standing here? GO TO THE BATHROOM!!!"

The ship rocks, Maxine turns green.

"GO!"I order, "NOW!"

Kayla flies over and helps Maxine to the bathroom. 

I watch them go to make sure no accident happens, then, I turn on my heel and stomp onto the deck. "OLLIE!" I screech, "We have safety regulations you know!"

No answer, I sigh and make my way up to the ship's wheel and find....... Peaches, Peaches trying to eat the wheel.

I groan, why did I agree to let that duck on board?

I tiptoe over, making sure that Peaches couldn't see me, I reach out..... and jump!

"HEY JOCELYN, DO WE HAVE ANY MORE PATTYCAKES?" Ollie's voice yells.

His voice startles Peaches, making her move, causing me to fall on my face.

"OLLIE!!!!!!" I scream.

"Oops, sorry! Wait, has Peaches been trying to eat the ship's wheel? That's why the ships been going crazy." Ollie says. "I'll help catch her, assuming that's what you've been doing."

He charges, Peaches turns around then runs away.

Ollie crashes into the wheel. "Owww!!!"

I jump at Peaches at the same time Kayla and Maxine run up onto the deck.

"Oh no." I groan, Peaches was right in front of them

Kayla and Maxine yelp as I fly straight into them.

"Maxine, next time, don't let Peaches out." I beg.

"Sorry." Maxine apologized, "Peaches, come here! C'mon girl!"

Peaches squawks and takes off running.

"Oh no." Everyone groan.

Peaches is running all over the place while everyone else is crashing into pretty much everything trying to get her.

Ollie nearly falls off the ship, Maxine crashes into a barrel of pattycakes -- hey, I guess we found our pattycakes! -- Jax is tangled up in the sails -- no idea how that happened -- Kayla is under a heap of bags of wheat, and I'm trying not to fall of the ship's wheel, which is spinning like crazy.

"I think I'm gonna be sick!" I mumble.

"ARE YOU TRYING TO CRASH ME INTO ROCKS AND TREES?" Jax shrieks.

"I'M FALLING OFF!!! STOP TURNING!!!" Ollie yelps.

"SOMEONE GET ME OFF THIS THING." I yell.

"YOU'RE GONNA--" a loud thump and a sudden stop to the ship interrupts Jax.

Ollie falls of the railing onto the deck, Kayla digs herself out, Maxine pulls herself out of the barrel, and the wheel finally stops spinning.

"A little help?!" Jax calls.

We come over and try to shake Jax out.

Ollie grabs onto a bit of the sail and tugs.

Jax falls on top of us.

"Ollie!" Everyone groans for the hundredth time today.

"Whoops." Ollie says sheepishly. 

"Guys, we hit land." Jax tells us, getting himself up.

"What?" We all run to the railing and look down, sure enough, there was a sandy beach instead of water underneath us.

Ollie suddenly starts whooping. "YES! FINALLY! AFTER ALL THOSE TORTUROUS SEA DAYS! Actually those days were awesome -- WE HAVE ARRIVED!"

"What do you mean we have arrived?" I demand, "Who knows where we've crashed!"

"No! Look!" Ollie shoves the map in my face, "We are here! See, there's this landmark on the map, and it's there!!!"

Jax grabs the map, "Uhhh, yep, he's right, BYE!" he runs over to the railing and jumps off.

"LAND HO!!!!!!!!" Ollie yells, following Jax's lead.

"WOOHOO!" Maxine joins them.

I look over at Kayla and we both shrug. Kayla tilts her head towards the tool shed. I nod. 

We make our way over and grab a couple shovels before joining the others.

"HURRY UP AND LET'S GET THIS OVER WITH!" Jax yells, gesturing for us to give him a shovel.

Kayla throws him one, "Can't wait to get back home." she says.

Me too Kayla, me too.
