A Nightmare Come True

Guys, good news, I think I'm starting to get my updating schedule under control (hopefully) If I can keep this up for long enough I might start making an updating schedule - maybe, don't get your hopes up yet.

Anna's P.O.V.

I look behind me, the boys are behind us. I turn over to face Gilly, going to ask if we should go faster, but her head's turned back as well. I watch as she makes a series of odd faces.

But being her sister I can read her like an open book, right now anyway. In the corner of my eye, I notice Jax, his expression almost constantly changing as well.

I bite back a smile, they're communicating without speaking. I see Gilly make one of her determined faces and immediately know there's gonna be some sort of competition. That, or she's gonna prove someone wrong.

"Should we go faster?" I say before she can turn around.

"Huh? Oh, yeah. Definitely." Gilly says.

I grin, "C'mon Macho! Let's beat them!" I whisper to Macho. He gives a huff, as if saying "What took you so long? I've been waiting for forever,".

I hold on tight as we speed up, leaving the boys far behind us. I can hear Hamish shouting for us to wait, and Han screaming "SPEED UUUPPPP!". I feel slightly bad for Jax, who has to deal with all the screaming, but not enough to slow down and let them catch up.

"Wheeeeee!" Trixie laughs as we soar higher and higher above the school.

"Let's turn and head down now!" Gilly screams over the wind. Macho turns smoothly, descending quickly and steadily. In the distance I see Felix feeding the pegasi (or pegasuses) Mother and Father are watching us from down below. I smile and wave.

We slow down as we near the ground, before slowly trotting along. Jax, Han, and Hamish are close behind.

"We won!" Trixie cheers!

"That's only because you were in front!" Han argues.

Mother steps in before they can start an argument, "Alright, let's head back now. It's getting late and close to bedtime."

"Awww," Hamish pouts, "But I wanted to play with Gilly and Anna more!"

"We'll visit sometime," I assure him.

"Yeah, and I'll bring some presents for you guys when we visit," Gilly adds.

"Alright," Hamish humphs.

We follow them to the school door before saying our goodbyes. "Don't forget to write!" Mother tells me and Gilly.

"We won't," we reply in unison.

*Time skip*

Gilly's P.O.V.

"Hey, Gilly, look at this," Anna hands me a HEA scroll. I take it and scan it through.

Carriages in the Air! Will it be the Next Big Thing?

by Coco Collette

A collaboration between the royal court and Little Red Riding Hood has brought to us a new form of travel! Pods hanging in the air by a lightweight, but sturdy string. Perfect for traveling far distances if you don't fancy the sea. This new, airborne way of transportation doesn't only give you an amazing view, it also gives those seeking adventure a sense of courage and bravery! According to the royal court, they have been searching for a method of transport for long distances that would be fast and efficient. Although sea travel could meet the requirements, some passengers may prefer another way of movement due to seasickness, aquaphobia, or thalassophobia.                                                                                                                                                                                     "Our goal is to ensure that all citizens are comfortable and happy in Enchantsia," says Rapunzel, "We will do our utmost to protect the people and creatures in our care."                                             "It is our duty," Snow White agreed.                                                                                                                With all this new and improved technology, it's safe to say that Enchantsia is in good hands.

"That's cool," I say, giving the scroll back to Anna, "I wonder if I can ride it."

"It's still in the making," Anna tells me, "And aren't you concerned about the safety?"

"Why would they open a ride that isn't safe? Besides, I can always get myself out if it proves to be dangerous. I've got Blue."

Anna looks at me skeptically, "It's still better to be safe than sorry."

I shrug, safety isn't my biggest concern. I mean, I've survived Alva, Rump, an upside-down world because of Darlene, so I think I would make it through a carriage ride.

Red has taught me how to shoot arrows better, so I'm sure I can just tie a string to the back of one and just swing to safety. I've also learned some techniques from Raz - who knows a lot more fighting methods than I thought.

"Oh, right! By the way, there's going to be a ball dedicated to FTRS students." Anna tells me.

"Huh? How come?"

"To show thanks to the school, its students, and appreciation for us," Anna replies simply.

"Umm... that's a bit random," I say.

"Well, you guys did save Enchantsia a bunch of times," Anna says, not looking at me.

"It's a bit late for a ball then, if you ask me," I answer. "Is it a mandatory thing, or can we go and leave as we please? When did they announce it anyway? I don't remember anything about a ball." I say, changing the subject.

"They had posters all over school, you just didn't notice them. I bumped into Princess Rapunzel earlier, and she told me to tell you that - as much as you wouldn't like it - you, Maxine, Kayla, Jocelyn, Ollie, and Jax have to come."

"What? Why?" I complain.

Anna shrugs, "I don't know, you'll have to ask her."

"Ugh," I bury my face in my pillow. I'm doing everything in my power to avoid wearing a gown. Once was enough. Besides, balls mean more curtsying and there's no way I'm gonna embarrass myself in front of the whole school by falling over.

As for dresses, it's not like I have a choice. The school uniform is a dress. Plus, Mother would make me wear a dress sometimes - thankfully it was never one of those fancy types you see those prissy, rich, royals wear. Dresses are annoying but tolerable, gowns, on the other hand, are a big no-no. They're long, hard to move in, annoying, and just bad in general. How on earth do you expect to make a quick dash if you're wearing a mountain load of fabric? It'll just weigh you down. And if you're trying to pick-pocket or steal something, gowns would really hinder your movement - not that I still steal, I've gotten over that. But it's still a good point - the only thing gowns may be useful for is hiding things in.

"On the plus side, if you have no choice but to go, that means you're needed, right?" Anna says to me.

I grunt in response, I'd rather be not needed at a ball.

"Alright, cheer up. Wouldn't want you having nightmares about it." Anna nudges me.

I groan and roll over.

Wilson crawls over to me and squeaks. I take out a treat and give it to him. He munches happily beside my head before scurrying off again.

I close my eyes and slowly drift to sleep.

Aaaaaand that's it :) While writing this I realized that at the beginning of the story, Kayla was Gilly's roommate (It was implicitly referred to) and now Anna is, it's too late for me to change it now so let's just say some disaster occurred in her room so both her and her roommate have to share with someone else, Kayla offered for Anna to take her spot until their room is fixed because she knows Gilly would want to be with her sister. So in the meantime, Kayla is staying with her family. Also, I don't know if you remember this but, Anna had a friend called Penny, I mentioned her in 'Revenge Time' but I realize that I didn't say a lot about her. I'll see if I can introduce her later on, but the point is, Penny is Anna's roommate (temporarily former)

I don't even know if anyone reads these but I'm putting this here just in case.

One more thing, right now (for me) it's the 22nd of September and it's only been three days since the last chapter was published so I'm thinking of putting the publication of this chapter off for a bit longer so I can prepare and make sure there's nothing wrong with this. So I'm sorry for the wait but it's definitely gonna be better than waiting a couple of months.
