"oh you guys also wanted to use the bbq" Lex said as the couple arrived at the same time as they did. They decided to bbq Saturday night "uhm yeah, but it is okay we will just-" Lex cut them off shaking her head. "It's fine I bet we could share" she proposed and the woman nodded, the couple looked to be around the same age as them, maybe a few years older.

"I suppose we could right Ronald" the woman said and the man nodded. "I'm alice by the way and this is my husband Ronald" she said putting out her hand, Alex and Bucky both shook it.

"I'm james and this is my girlfriend Catherine" Bucky spoke shaking the mans hand. "nice to meet both of you, you are also from America I hear?" the man spoke and the two nodded.

"yes we are both from Brooklyn" Bucky answered and Lex was glad cus she didn't have a clue where she came from.

"we are from Michigan" the woman spoke. The conversations between the two couples was a bit stiff but it loosened up with time.

"so yeah we come here as often as we can" Ronald finished having told the two about owning a cabin on the resort. "we were also thinking of returning another time weren't we doll" Bucky asked the girl who was preparing the bbq.

"oh yeah we are already in love with France" she said before returning back to the table leaving the bbq to heat up.

Bucky and Ronald tended to roasting the hamburgers and the chicken skewers while Alex and Alice prepared some loose things to eat like some salad and some filled peppers.

"how long have you two been together?" she asked Alice while filling the peppers with some crème cheese. "we met at work when we were 16 and 17, we were both working in a café saving up for college" she started and handed Alex a piece of baguette with sate saus which she happily took.

"we started off as friends but I catched feelings for him very early, but I was ofcourse afraid to tell him, you probably know the feeling" she said and Alex just nodded, she didn't know the feeling but okay.

"when we were 20 I finally mustered the courage to tell him and he said he had felt the same all those years" she said with a light chuckle and Alex smiled at the woman. "after only 3 months of being together he asked me to marry him, people said we were going too fast"

Alex shook her head. "I don't think it is too fast, I mean you already knew eachother for quit a bit and you had feelings for eachother the whole time, So I wouldn't say it is too fast" she explained and the woman smiled at her words.

"thank you, you are one of the first ones to understand" she said and Alex sent the woman a kind smile.

Over at the bbq Bucky and Ronald where talking about Ronalds' boat, Bucky was a bit bored by the topic but didn't let it show, luckily the guy changed the subject.

"your arm is very fascinating" he said looking at the arm moving while Bucky cut up some chicken to put on the scewers. "thank you I guess" he said not really knowing what to say.

"It is nice to see something good come out of technology, I mean phones are also good and all, but kids these days are glued to their screens, it is kind of sad" he spoke and Bucky thought about it, he wasn't really up to date on kids these dates, well he was generally not up to date but oh well.

"yeah I'm Happy with it as well, I mean I now have two arms again so I guys" he said with a chuckle the man smiled at him. "may I ask how you lost it, if it isn't to much, Sorry if I'm asking something too personal" the man said carfully.

His carefulness kind of shocked bucky normally people would either stare or straight up ask it. He hadn't thought about what to tell if that question occurred so he just went with the most believable, "I got in a accident while riding my motorcycle" he explained.

The mans face contorted in a look of horror. "that must have hurt a lot" he said and Bucky shrugged "I don't remember much" he said but soon realized what he had said and tried to catch himself.

"I was in a coma for most of the healing time, having bumped my head pretty hard in the crash" he smoothly covered up. "I'm sorry to hear that, it must have been hard" he said and Bucky nodded "It was weird, waking up and it suddenly being weeks later while it felt like 5 minutes" he said truthfully, it had all been weird, especially when it wasn't just a few weeks but 70 years.

When they were done they placed the plates with chicken sate and hamburgers on the picknick table and took a seat next to their partners. "hello love" Alex said giving the soldier a kiss on his cheek and he smiled at her.

"Alice just asked me how we met" she said and Bucky send Alice a smile. "yeah I already told her how we met so I asked her how she had met James" Alice told Ronald and he nodded also wanting to know.

"we met while going on a run" Alex started and Bucky nodded. "yeah I decided to pick up running again, after my accident" he said pointing to his arm "and one morning I quite literally ran into this beautifull lady over here".

Lex nodded, her mouth full of food so she couldn't say anything. "we didn't say much that first meeting only a few apologies so I decided to go running again the next morning at the same time and she was there again, after the 3rd day I decided to introduce myself and we became running buddy's" he finished.

"seems like it was fate for you to run into her again"

"yeah it was" Bucky said looking into her eyes, the words held so much more meaning, if only she knew that he thought.
