Kayden POVIt's been over a week since I got discharged. I'm not going to lie, I constantly feel like death but am I going to tell anyone? No. Especially not Faith.
God. She's something else.We both have History at 10am this morning, it's currently 9:30 and I don't have the heart to wake her up. Oh wait. Yeah I do. I lightly kick her face with my foot which are next to each other on the couch. Coincidence.
"Leave me alone" she groans, rolling back over.
"Class starts in thirty minutes" I tell her as she lets out another deep groan. This time she rolls the other way, causing her to fall off the couch with a loud thud.
"Ow" she moans, rubbing her elbow.
"You good?" I ask.
"No I'm not fucking good" she snaps at me before storming out of the room. I don't want to assume but is it that time of the month?
I quickly get changed into black sweatpants and the green sweatshirt that Faith made me buy the other day. I hate green but Faith looks stunning in it so I made sure to get it because I know she will be stealing it once we get home. She waits for me to wear it a few times before claiming it as hers. She's strange. I grab my sports bag and walk into the kitchen where Faith is buttering toast. Damn. She's wearing a pair of blue baggy mom jeans with a cropped white tank top that ends just below her breasts. I'm not 100% sure if the jeans are supposed to be like that or if it's because of her losing weight. I would never mention anything but she has lost a lot, don't get me wrong, she's just as beautiful but she's not healthy. It's my job to make her healthy again.
"Hey" I make my presence known so it doesn't terrify her when she turns around.
"Hi, do you want toast" she spins with a plate of toast, handing it to me.
"Thanks. Are you having any?" I lightly ask. Please say yes.
"Can I have a bite of yours?" She asks me nervously. So cute. I nod handing her the bread, she takes a small bite, smiling at the fact she hasn't puked yet "sorry it's yours"
"No, you have it" I hand the plate to her as she finishes the toast. My day has been made. I'd rather starve than her not eat any food "you ready?" I ask her, picking up my kit.
"Uhm, why have you got that?" She questions, pointing to my soccer bag.
"We have practice" I remind her.
"I have practice, not you" she says "you aren't ready yet"
"Thank you" I scoff as she smiles "I'll take it careful, I promise" she holds out her pinky finger and locks it with mine.
"Pinky promise?" She says.
"Pinky promise" I reassure her, kissing out linked fingers "you can give CPR right?"
"Shut up you loser" she laughs, pushing me out of the door.
We make it to History just as the bell rings, I take a seat at the back next to Faith who has her head leaned against the desk. I decided that tomorrow night I'm going to surprise her with a date. If she wants to go of course. If she doesn't I think I will cry. I also need to book the flights to New York next week, I'm nervous to see my mom but excited to take Faith with me to my home. She's going to love it. The bell soon rings, signalling next lesson. Yay.
