As everyone waited for any type of news from either Winona or Steven. Ashlyn continued to prepare for the Feather Festival opening just in case her aunt couldn't make it in time.
"I know aunt Winona and uncle Steven are strong trainers but why do I feel so nervous like something bad is going to happen," Ashlyn thought as she directed her Corviknight into the routine she and May came up within a short period
"Ashlyn are you alright?" Alain asked as Ashlyn landed her Corviknight
"Yeah I-I just want to be distracted," Ashlyn said smiling sadly
"Well I can understand that but you know not eating isn't very healthy," he said before she chuckled
"I assume that Max told you," she said as she sat on the nearest bench
"That you have an unhealthy habit of missing meals when you're worried about something? Yes and I picked up on it when I noticed the time" Alain said before he sat next to her
"Hm, I guess it is way past lunchtime, May must have been equally as distracted as me if she or her stomach didn't remind me" Ashlyn giggled making Alain chuckle before George ran into the room with his Rotom phone held up
"What's wrong George?" Ashlyn asked as she ran over to the older male
"The league director sent a message, He needs you and Alain to head to Mt. Pyre to gather the blue and red orb from Phoebe's grandmother," the Gym assistant said urgency clear in his voice
"We'll get ready then," Ashlyn said before she and Alain made their way towards the entrance of the gym after about ten minutes
"I assume you know where Mt. Pyre is located correct?" Alain asked as he got on his Salamence
"Of course I do it's just south of route 121 you'll know when we're close when you see a large tower with an eerie atmosphere," Ashlyn said as she got on her Altaria
"Care to enlighten me as to why or am I going to have to wait?" Alain inquired
"Because Mt. Pyre contains the cemetery of the Hoenn region and so many trainers come here to grieve for their Pokémon thus many uneasy souls still travel all over the mountain," George said as he walked up to them holding two letters "Hand these to ms. Phoebe's grandmother to get the orbs and please hurry ms. Winona just sent word that they are on their way to mt. Pyre as we speak."
"Right thank you so much George please take care of everyone while we're gone," Ashlyn said as she placed the two letters into her bag
"Of course I will and don't worry about May and her contest I'll help her as much as I can," George said smiling at her "Be careful Ashlyn, that means not a single scratch is allowed"
"Highly unrealistic but understood," Ashlyn said smiling mischievously before they left "Pikachu take care of May and Max alright and don't worry I have him with me"
"Alright just be careful Ashlyn" Pikachu said as he jumped off her shoulder
"Please be careful" May whispered from the rooftop of the gym as she watched them leave
Upon reaching Mt. Pyre, Ashlyn had noticed that one of the criminal teams had just landed at the base of the mountain.
"Ashlyn look," Alain said before Ashlyn looked at the peak of the mountain where an elderly woman was waving them over
"Alright then, Altaria use Cotton Guard," Ashlyn said before she, Alain, and their two dragon type pokemon deceased once the move successfully covered them
"You must be Ashlyn and Alain correct?" The elder woman said before Ashlyn gave her the letter that George gave her
"Can we please head into a safe place Team Aqua has just landed on the base of the mountain" Ashlyn said before she returned Altaria to her Pokeball
