After May's win in Fallarbor Town and bidding farewell to Spark,Candela and Blanche since Prof. Willow needed them back in Little Root Town, they all headed to their next destination with Brendan who asked to join them for the time being
"It's really nice of you guys to let me come along" Brendan said as they all went into the mount Chimney Cable car
"No, problem Brendan" May said smiling
"We should be arriving at Mount Chimney soon" Alain said calmly as he petted Zorua who had recently learned to ride on his shoulder
"Hey! Look Helicopters?!" Max asked before two helicopters made their way up the mountain
"I wonder what that was all about?" Ashlyn thought as she looked at Alain who looked right back at her
"Why do I have a bad feeling about this?"

Meanwhile on top of the mountain the two helicopters had just deployed two sets of people one group in blue while the other red upon seeing each other they growled
"Well if it isn't team Aqua how quaint" a man with red hair and glasses said before making a tsk noise before turning around "Get rid of them and stop the cable car to prevent further interruptions"
"Sir! Yes sir!" The grunts said before half released their pokemon and the other half went to the cable car operating tower
"Groudon will be mine soon enough"

Halfway through their trip up the mountain Ashlyn felt the cable car stop roughly making her fall on Alain squishing poor Eira and Zorua between them, May was being supported by Brendan as she held onto Max
"S-Sorry" Ashlyn said blushing as she got off the Kalosian leaving Eira and Zorua on his lap
"It's no problem" he said also sporting reddening cheeks
"What happened?" May asked before the wind suddenly picked up and started rocking the car
"May I'm going to take Flygon out get on her with Max and Brendan I have a feeling that it would be safer to fly to Mt. Chimney instead of waiting for this car to start moving" Ashlyn said before she opened a window and released Altaria and Flygon
"Salamence let's go" Alain said before he released his Salamence then helped to make sure May, Max and Brendan got on Flygon safely then Ashlyn with Eira and Zorua and that's when one of the cables snapped
"Alain!/Papa!" Ashlyn, Eira and Zorua all exclaimed before Ashlyn took hold of his hand and pulled him out of the cable car just as the second cable snapped
"Alain?!" Salamence said as he flew below his trainer allowing him to mount onto his back
"Thank you Salamence" Alain said before looking at Ashlyn who still looked worried along with the still frightened pokemon "I'm fine don't worry about it."
"Are you absolutely sure?" Ashlyn asked her adrenaline still pumping
"Yeah let's go before another strong wind comes around" Alain said Altaria, Salamence and Flygon fly over to the tower before Ashlyn and Alain returned them to their pokeballs
"Did you follow all of leader Maxie's orders?" A man with a gruff voice asked
"Yes sir" two others said making Ashlyn, Brendan and Alain stiffen
"Team Magma?" Brendan said as he pulled May and Max to the closest hiding spot while Ashlyn and Alain hid elsewhere
"Who are they Brendan?" May asked
