The next Morning they all decided that it would be better if they all headed to Fallarbor town first since it had a Pokémon Contest there, sadly that meant that Alain and Ashlyn wouldn't be able to participate in the Tag team tournament which Dinah and Malcolm understood. On their way to Fallarbor they find themselves in front a beautiful lake
"Well looks like this lake is named Lake May and looks like were just in time for the May festival a really fun festival showcasing Illumise and Volbeat's dance of love" Ashlyn said as she read through the information that her pokenav provided
"No wonder its such a pretty lake" May said before Max snickered making her glare at him
"Max be nice and May don't hit him" Ashlyn said when she saw May's hand clench into a fist
"Yes Ashlyn" they both said chastised making Alain chuckle
"Papa/Alain" Zorua who was on Alain's shoulder and Growlith who was walking beside him pointiong to two pokemon with bows around their necks
"Hmmmm? What are those?" Alain asked garnering the attention of all three of his companions and making Ashlyn pull out her pokedex

"Oh hello" someone greeted from behind them making them all turn to see Nurse Joy smiling at them
"Hello Nurse Joy" they all greeted
"Are you all here for the May Festival?" she asked
"Well no but we were just lucky enough to arrive here in time for the festival" Alain answered
"Oh well you're all welcome to stay and enjoy the festival. In fact Romeo and Juliet must be doing their practice run, right about now" Nurse Joy said before she indicated the two people
On the pier, the woman Juliet tells Illumise it's time to start practicing and twirls a conductor's baton with a light at the tip of it, ordering Illumise to use Sweet Scent. As Illumise does, Juliet turns to Romeo and asks him to release his Volbeat. He complies, but the belt pack he carried them in falls onto the pier, with four rolling out. Juliet concernedly comments on this, indicating it is not the first time this has happened. Remorsefully, Romeo begins to gather them up.
"Is He alright?" Max asked observing how much of a klutz the man Romeo was
"Not sure" May said also confused
"He seems so nervous" Ashlyn said as she and Alain observed Romeo
Romeo stood up before calling out his Volbeat, and tells his lead Volbeat it's time to start. Volbeat leads the other quintet across the lake, but he's distracted and simply starts chasing her around, the rest following. Juliet is dismayed and orders Romeo to conduct his Volbeat properly. Frozen, Romeo attempts to regain his composure and his Volbeat with a baton, but he drops it onto the pier. At Romeo's cry, Volbeat stops to help, but ends up colliding with Illumise by accident, sending all five Volbeat and Illumise into the lake. With Illumise not resurfacing, Juliet dives into the lake, accidentally knocking Romeo into the water.
