The mysterious person came closer and sat down next to me and I understood why. It was Becca Pramheda. She smiled at me and pointed to the edge of the bed. I nodded and smiled back. She looked worried but also relieved. I was a little scared. Becca was the second person who had appeared to me in the span of two days and I honestly didn't know if that was good.
''Sonheda, I know you need your sleep but it's important and we don't have much time. You found my bunker and the computer, and you realized that your necklace is important here. And Lexa's. Bardo and the test weren't the end. There will be one last fight. A fight against artificial intelligence. "las gonplei". And you can only win if you use your head and your heart. You won't have much time, but Lexa, Clarke and you have to fight together. You three have a connection to the culture of the second dawn, with whom it is associated. You have to get the computer running and then you get the details you need. I wish I could help you, but you have to fight this war without me. If you win, people will have their peace and I can come back as well.
Transcendence is within reach. It's a choice and I can chose to come back. You can save the human race. I believe in you, Tara." Before I could say anything, Becca was gone again. I sank back into my pillow and fell into a dreamless sleep.
I heard floorboards crack. Couldn't I sleep in peace at least for a little while? Was that too much to ask for? I rolled to the right, looked at my watch and was frightened. It was ten minutes to half past ten. How could I have slept so long? I saw a person with a black dress and long light brown hair. Lexa! She came to me and I fell into her arms. I missed her very much. She opened her bag and pulled out a small green amulet. The counterpart to my necklace. Then she knelt down to me. ''I am so sorry that I never told you how the grounders used to call you. They choose the title Sonheda because they felt reminded of Alexandria kom Trikru. She was Becca's successor. I got my name from her. Legends say that she was a strong, responsible but kind commander. Without her, there wouldn't be any grounder left.'' I couldn't believe that the grounders chose Alexandria's title Sonheda for me.
I quickly got dressed and followed Lexa, Murphy and Emori outside. I was very unsure how to tell them about my dream or my vision, whatever you could call it. Before I could keep thinking about it, Lexa stopped me and I knew that she understood that there was something worrying me so she asked the others to rest for a moment and I started explaining that I dreamed from Becca and that she told me that there will be a last war. The last one against artificial intelligence. Surprisingly, they weren't doubting that my dream was a hint for something that was laying in front of us.
So we walked to the edge of Polis where we opened the bunker and then disappeared underground again. When Lexa entered the cold, mysterious space, she was overwhelmed. While Emori and I were roughly explaining to her what we knew so far, Murphy was already on its way to the room with the computer to get it started. After some moments, we also went into the adjacent room and I began to shake. I was really nervous. Of course, I always wanted to be important for something, but not in a fight against AI like Allie.
Despite my fear, I took off the necklace and put it next to the computer, so Lexa did the same. Suddenly, I felt the ground vibrating under my feet again and closed my eyes. I wasn't so sure whether I was really ready or not but I knew that I was the hope of the human race for peace and that I could not disappoint them. Becca believed in me, and I would try everything to do her proud. She was a stranger to me, but I admired her a lot. I really did not want to disappoint her. I took a deep breath and spoke to the computer. "Ai laik heda gon soncha" The computer remained silent so I looked into Lexa's dark green eyes. She understood and smiled at me. "Ai laik heda gon sheidas!" When she finished her sentence, the chains were blown into the air. I tried to jump away and Murphy caught me. My whole body trembled as if I had fallen into ice water. Then, suddenly, the mysterious voice came to speak. " fali " The voice made me shake. Lexa translated for the others. "The voice seemed to be waiting very impatiently for us. Fali means finally in english."
We waited and waited but nothing happened andslowly We became impatient. The four of us didn't want to spend the whole dayin that dusty, old bunker. Just as I was about to leave the room, the computerscreen started blinking wildly.
Panic spread in me. The machine started and showed a page. There was Becca. She looked exactly like in my dream, with long dark hair and a space suit. A video opened and we eagerly listened to what she had to tell us. One thing was clear, however, when she recorded this video, she was in a hurry and very stressed, as I suspected yesterday.
''This is Becca Franco. I don't have much time left. In a few hours, maybe minutes, Allie will launch the nuclear missiles and destroy the world. I am in the year 2052. It's May 10th. So whoever finds this has survived the apocalypse. However, there's a certain reason why you're making the computer work. You two are special. The computer choses wisely which person gets to see this and which not. You both are really important for this. You are strong but together you are stronger than you can even imagine. You will combine light and shadow and create peace. However, there is a third person missing that you need, to achieve this. You will find it out and the computer will choose if your decision was wise or not. I have tried to find out as much as possible about the last war but the only thing I know is that you have to use your head and your heart to win. Promise me, to do me proud and stay strong.''
