Chapter 4

My parents found out I snuck out and I'm grounded, not to my surprise though, I saw it coming.

When we land in California we go directly to our new house.

The house was nice it had a huge backyard with a pool, which was pretty cool. Now we have enough rooms so we don't have to share.

After a while of unpacking my mom calls me down.

"What's up?" I ask a bit too peppy.

"I want you to go and introduce yourself to our new neighbors, maybe meet some new friends?." She say not taking her eyes off what she was doing.

"Why?" I lift an eyebrow.

"Because you need to make friends and what better way than by introducing yourself to your neighbors." She says making me roll my eyes

"Sydney, want us to come with you?" I hear Shawn and Sabrina yell from the living room.

"Sure." I say and walked out the door.

We first went to a house that was on the left of us. Shawn knocked on the door and a tall blonde girl opened it, his eyes widened at the sight of her. He probably thinks she's cute.

"Hi, we just moved next door and wanted to introduce ourselves. I'm Sydney, this is my older sister Sabrina and my older brother Shawn." I say with a smile.

"Welcome to the neighborhood, my name is rydel come in and you can meet my brothers." she says cheerfully.

Wait, What? I knew she looked familiar.

We come in and Ross, Riker, Rocky, Ryland, and this other dude, I think he's in the band, are on the couch playing video games.

"Hey guys we have new neighbors." Rydel says getting the boys attention. they all look over to us and right when Ross eyes land on mine I look away.

"Hey I'm Riker and these are my brothers Rocky, Ross, Ryland, and our best friend Ellington." Riker says introduceing everyone.

"Hi, I'm Sabrina, this is my brother Shawn and my sister Sydney. there are two more of us but they are unpacking things in the house." Sabrina says smiling widely.

My siblings and I were playing video games with Ellington when we hear a knock on the door.

"I'll get it." Rydel says.

She goes to answer the door and when she comes back is with two other girls and a guy.

"Hey guys, we have new neighbors." She says grabbing our attention. I looked over to them and they looked really familiar.

"Hey I'm Riker and these are my brothers Rocky, Ross, Ryland and our best friend Ellington." Riker says introducing everyone.

"Hi, I'm Sabrina and this is my brother Shawn and my sister Sydney and there are two more but they are unpacking things in the house." The shorter blonde one says.

"Hey, since you guys are new to the neighborhood and don't know a lot of people, why don't you come by later for a barbecue?" I asked.

"Sure that would be great." said Sydney with a shaky voice. And that's when I realized who was standing in front of us.
