Chapter 36

I was at the skatepark with Shawn when my  phone went off. It's been almost a month since the band left and Ross doesn't call me as often as he used to. I looked at my phone and to my surprise it was Ross.

~phone convo~

Sydney: hey Ross haven't talked to you in a while.

Ross: I know I'm sorry. Um syd I think we should, we should break up.

Sydney: what? Why? Was it something I did? am I not good enough for you?

Ross: no. You did nothing, it's what I've been doing to you. You're perfect I'm the one that's not good enough for you. Sydney I've been cheating on you. I'm sorry I just missed you a lot and I couldn't find any other way.

Sydney: oh I-I see. Well I hope you have a nice rest of your tour. Don't come near me when you're back.

I hung up the phone and bursted out into tears. "Syd what's wrong?" Shawn asked hugging me.

"He broke up with me and has been cheating on me." I cried in my brothers arms.

"Come on let's go home and you can explain everything there." I nodded grabbing my skateboard and skated home with Shawn.

"Alright now tell me, what's wrong shorty?" He asked pulling me down next to him on his bed.

"He broke up with me Shawn, he broke up with me because he was cheating on me." I cried in his chest as I rested my head there.

"He did what? Oh when he gets back he is so dead!" My brother says angrily.

"No Shawn leave it alone. I'll get over it by the time he gets back." I sniffed.

"No he broke my little sisters heart, hurt you and I'm not letting him get away with it." He kissed my forehead and I drifted off to sleep.

~2 months later~

So it's been 2 months and today the band is coming back. That means I have to see Ross today as well. I really don't want to see him. it'll Hurt to see him with another girl.

"Hey syd you ready?they are here already." Shawn said peeking into my room. "Alright I'll be right down." I said with sadness evident in my voice.

"Shorty you don't have to come. I know it'll hurt you. You don't have to do this if you don't want to."

"No I have to. I have to congratulate the rest of the band for an awesome tour and show Ross that I'm stronger than he thinks I am." I say reassuringly to myself more than to him.

"I'll be sure to beat his ass when I see him." He said hugging me. "No Shawn please don't I don't want to cause any problems."

"You won't, I will and I already told you he hurt you and I'm not going to let him get away with that." He said I rolled my eyes. We walked downstairs and headed to the airport.
