Today I leave for New York. I'll be living in a small apartment close to campus but also close to the city as well.

If your wondering what happened with Ross that day he asked me to marry him last month. He ran to my house and apologized and said that he won't try anything from now on but he'll be waiting for me no matter how long it takes.

To be completely honest I would have said yes but we can't, we're from to different worlds. it's impossible to have a stable relationship.

I was packing some last few things when I come across a box underneath my bed. I took it out from underneath and brought it up to my bed. I sat down and started looking through it.

Inside were pictures of me and Ross from the last 2 years that I've been here. From when we moved to Mine and Ross first date to Christmas and new year to our birthday. even of the trip we took to Mexico. Every single picture, gift and letter he every gave me all laid in this box.

As I looked through it tears started streaming down my cheek. All the good memories we've had. All of a sudden there was a knock on the door. I looked up and saw him.

"Can we talk?" He asked as he walked in. I nodded and wiped the tears out my eyes. He sits down in the bed and scans it looking at the box of photos.

"We've had lots of great memories." He smiles grabbing a picture of me and him on our one year anniversary.

"Yeah we have." I smile.

"How did we end up like this?" He looks up at me. "How did we go from being the best of friends to not even being able to have a civil conversation."

"Well people change and some just aren't meant to be in the end." I give him a sympathetic smile and he nods.

"I know you're leaving and I wanted to give you this before you leave." He says going into his pocket and handing me a folded piece of paper. I look at him confused. "What is it?" I asked

"It's just a little something I wrote. I uh better go. Can I hug you?" I smile and nod my head. He wraps his warm arms around me and my heart melts. "Good luck in college." His fingers gently rubbing my back.

"Thank you." He pulls away and stands up leaving the room.
