Chapter 7

After the kiss Ross apologized and awkwardly left to his house. I stayed in my room shocked and thought about what happened.

I'm still thinking about what happened last night when I hear Sabrina call my name, making me snap back into reality.

"What's up?" I look at her waiting for her to respond. "I wanted to ask you something." She says sitting down on the edge of my bed. "Go on." I say furrowing my eyebrows.

"Why did you leave the lynch house yesterday so early, you didn't even stay for an hour." She asks curiously.

"Oh uh I just uh I was really tired from the flight." I lie. I really don't want to lie to her but I don't want to tell her what actually happened either.

"Oh okay well, we're all going to the lynch house if you want you can join us." She says excitedly.

"No I'm good I kinda have a headache so I think I'll just stay home today." I lie once again, I just don't want to see ross. "Ok, well if you feel better feel free to come over."

"I will." I smile at her and she leaves my room.

~Shawn's Pov~

yesterday was awesome, the lynch dudes are super cool. I didn't realize I missed them so much until now.

Yesterday I couldn't stop looking at rydel, she just looked so beautiful. I wanted to tell her but I couldn't because that Ellington dude was with her the whole time. Every time I tried to talk to her he interrupted me and took her away.

Hopefully today he isn't at their house so I can talk to her.

Sarah, Sabrina, Sky and I got ready and left the house to go next door. I wonder why Sydney didn't come with us. I guess I'll have to talk to her when we get back.

I knock on the lynch's door and a few minutes later Riker answers it.

"Hey guys, come in." riker opens the door and we step in. I look around the room and luckily don't see Ellington anywhere, great now I can finally talk to rydel.

"Hey Rydel, can I talk to you outside?" I ask walking up to her.

"Yeah, sure." We go outside and sit on her porch stairs.

"What do you want to talk about?" Rydel said breaking the silence.

"Us, are we still friends or not because every time I want to talk to you that Ellington dude takes you away and doesn't let me do that." I say with a frown.

"Shawn, Ive always wanted us to be more than friends but we can't, I'm with Ellington now, but I have no problem being friends." Rydel says looking down.

"I became a whole different person when you left Colorado, I started picking fights, I got expelled from school, I became the biggest fuck boy there is because I was hurt that you left, but while all that happened you guys didn't care if you hurt us and you got a boyfriend." I said already wanting to punch or break something.

"Shawn, I'm sorry you had to go through all of that and we did care we just couldn't do anything about it. We had to move on and so should you." she says in a sympathetic tone.

"Yeah, it's not that easy to just move on when you care about someone." I say standing up from and walk away.
