"Don't desire happiness, because it only creates unhappiness and nothing else." Ranboo muttered. He was hunched by the trapdoor in Michael's room, he wasn't going to let him slip away like everyone else had.

Was it really his fault?

He didn't know but he was damned if he was going to let it happen to him again. Michael was by the window squealing excitedly

"⊒ϟ⊒ϟ! ≡☩ ⊒ϟ⊒ϟ ꑇ⌤ ☇≚ꈌ≚. ☇≚'⌤ ☈ϟ≠⍩ ☇≚'⌤ ☈ϟ≠⍩" he screamed jumping up and down. Ranboo didn't know much piglin but one word stood out to him,

⊒ϟ⊒ϟ

Dada

Ranboo rushed down the ladder as he heard someone knock on the door, he wrenched it open

Tubbo was standing there. Tubbo, alone. He held a piece of paper, he brandished it to Ranboo as he walked inside and up to Michael. Ranboo watched him disappear and turned his gaze to the crumpled piece of paper that was shoved into his hands.

Dear Ranboo, your custody of Michael has been terminated, there will be a hearing in three weeks from now to discuss whether or not you are eligible for custody of our son alongside me. For now I am taking him to Las Nevadas. Clearly you are not in the state to look after him currently.

Signed 𝕋𝕦𝕓𝕓𝕠

Ranboo had to stop himself from ripping the letter to shreds as Tubbo returned with Michael. Not even stopping to say goodbye, carrying him outside the door. Ranboo watched helplessly as the two disappeared from his view. He shut the door, his entire body shaking.

Ranboo's knees buckled causing him to collapse onto the floor. Tears flowing down his cheeks, he began to sob quietly, his head resting against the door. The pain only made him cry more.

That was it

He had lost everything.

Tommy

Tubbo

And now Michael.

The stinging from his tears became too much. He wiped them away with his sleeve taking deep breaths as he hiccuped. He wasn't a messy crier but it wasn't exactly pretty. He didn't even want to look at the marks that the tear tracks would have left.

Why did this have to happen? Was Ranboo meant to have no one?

Techno.

No he hasn't.

Ranboo waited a moment contemplating what he was really about to do before pushing himself up and opening his door.

The cold air burned against his fresh wounds but he didn't care. Not anymore, he began to walk to his mentors house with long purposeful strides. Michael and Tubbo were long gone now. His face was set in a subtle scowl, as he continued he began to feel the wind pick up the snow falling heavier yet he persisted.

Was he really going through with this?

Yes.

Phil opened the door, with confusion turning to shock as he saw Ranboo standing up straight, no longer cowering.

"Hey mate" he said hesitantly, his eyes scanning over the deep lines trailing jagged from Ranboo's eyes. "Have you been crying?" he asked. Ranboo nodded.

"I'm ready," he said firmly. Phil raised an eyebrow.

"Great" Techno said from inside, Phil stepped aside letting Ranboo inside. Again Techno was sitting on the floor but Niki was leaning against the wall, she waved to Ranboo when he walked in.

Phil locked and bolted the door, before he turned to lean on it.

"So, we've nearly got everyone here. We're just waiting on our last member" Techno said

"Who?" Ranboo and Niki asked in unison. There was a knock on the door and Phil opened it immediately to let a hooded figure in. They waved in greeting. Niki gasped, causing Ranboo to turn quickly to look at the final member.

Wait.

Ranboo inhaled sharply

"You're Harpocrates?"
