Chapter 16 - Welcoming home a demon

The secret to humour is surprise. Although nothing about what was happening in any way was funny. Not to Ranboo at least he stared in shock at the final member of the syndicate.

"Close your mouth Ranboo" George said with a small snicker, "I'm not the actual final member, Dream is".

"Oh" was all the ender hybrid could say.

This couldn't get any worse could it.

"And I brought along a friend," he said, stepping aside to reveal Wilbur standing there with the biggest smirk on his face.

"Hello Niki," he said, turning to the female. "Or should I say nemesis" he mocked, Phil gave him a not so subtle kick to the shin, that shut him up.

Niki's face turned red, but she didn't speak. "So" Wilbur said, rubbing his hands together. "How about we break our dear friend out of prison?"

Ranboo swallowed.

Techno, Phil, Niki, Wilbur and George. These were some of the most powerful people on the smp. And from what rumours he had heard. George had the power of the gods on his side. There was no way Sam, the only current prison guard, was going to stand a chance.

Suddenly Techno stood and walked towards a blank wall placing and pressing a stone button. The wall slowly went down. He motioned for the team to follow him inside and through the door that could be seen at the back of the room. There was a one block length ledge and then a pit of lava.

"Wait what?" George spluttered out. Niki, Ranboo and Phil jumped through without hesitation leaving Techno to deal with the other two as they looked at him confused.

"Either you jump or I push you in either way don't scream too much" he said waiting for them to make the decision.

"Techno if we die. I will kill you" Wilbur said as he held his nose and cannonballed in. a second later there was a muffled yelp of surprise. George looked at the piglin before holding his breath and stepping in. Techno jumping in after. Everyone was waiting in the water for their leader. Techno grabbing a bunch of boats distributing them to a few members. Will climbed in with Phil and George went with Niki leaving Techno and Ranboo together. The six of them slid across the ice with speed.

The ice stopped with a large chest on the end of it. The three boats used were placed in there and the team continued the journey through the stronghold Ranboo and Niki cringed slightly when the achievement for George and Wilbur

George however didn't seem phased. Wilbur yelped when another announcement appeared in chat

DreamXD joined the game.

The god was standing in front of them.

"Hello XD" George greeted the god as if he was an old friend. XD said nothing looking around at the members of the syndicate before disappearing

DreamXD left the game.

"What was that?" Wilbur asked

"He was checking to see if we were going to beat the game. Which we are" Techno said

DreamXD joined the game

"I'm joking I'm joking" Techno said, putting his hands up in surrender as the floating god stared him down.

DreamXD left the game. Everyone looked from Techno to George.

"No seriously, what was that?" Wilbur asked. George shrugged

"He's my friend, I think," he said. Phil silently rolled his eyes going through a door and pressing a button to reveal the portal room, which had been transformed into the Syndicates meeting room. He motioned for everyone to come in

"Now just to let you know that if you two tell anyone the whereabouts of this place, I am obligated to kill you" he said as he sat down, each Syndicate member taking their own respectful seats. George took Harpocrates, as he was the stand in member and Wilbur took the blank sixth seat.

Techno got to explaining their plan, finally. George, was their decoy as Wilbur, Ranboo and Niki tunnelled in three separate directions joining up exactly at the cell. Techno and Phil were to grab Dream and get out.
