A lone figure stood at the edge of the L'manhole, a sigh escaped her lips as they crouched closer to get a better look at the flowing water at the bottom of the crater he had once called something close to home. Eret tossed their crown into the lake below with a heavy sigh.

"Oh Tommy" she muttered. Standing back up, "I wish I could have done more, I wish I was there. I wish I asked"

"Do you?" a mocking voice called out from behind him. Eret didn't move

"Hello Wilbur" they said softly, "Is Tommy with you"

"Turn around and see for yourself," Wilbur spat. Of course Tommy was there, Eret knew this but nevertheless she slowly turned to face the two.

"So, you've come to take revenge" he said, looking over the smallest of the three, Tommy glared at Eret with a twisted look in anticipation. It was sickening, "what has he done to you?" she muttered, the comment wasn't meant to be heard, but it was, along with every tone of guilt, regret and pain that had danced along the words. Tommy shifted slightly, making a noise that sounded so inhuman that Eret stepped backwards with a sharp intake of breath.

Tommy snickered, a wicked grin stretched across his lips, the snickering quickly turned into a wheezing laugh that no longer even sounded like Tommy. It sounded like Dream. Eret glanced at Wilbur, he looked as uneasy as Eret felt.

"What has he done to me? What has Dream done? Everything, nothing. The same as everyone else." Tommy whispered his voice hoarse and crackly, his face dropping from the sickening smile into an expression of pure rage. "But you know he's done one thing that no one else could. He made me realise that this world has no room for heroes. Not if you want to live" Wilbur grinned manicaly placing a hand on Tommy's shoulder "get off me" he growled, Wilbur's wrenched his hand away as if he had burnt.

"Sorry" he mumbled.

"Betrayed, Manipulated, brought back into a false sense of security only to be broken, again. I'm done. No more"

"What are you going to do?" Eret asked.

"I'm going to make sure, no one, fucks with me ever Again" Tommy pointed a sword towards Eret, "come one Eret, one last dance for the monarch." Eret nodded solemnly, taking a step forward.

Tommy's sword gleamed with enchantments that Eret had never even dreamed of.

"Where did you...?" She asked in shock, Tommy sneered,

"I had a little help" He paused, chuckling, "call it a bit of off camera grinding" If the circumstances of the situation Eret was in, was not as grim. They would have laughed, he raised his sword waiting for Tommy to strike. The blonde didn't move, Eret advanced aiming to strike Tommy in the face, Tommy's own sword came up with a smooth movement, blocking the sword from his eyes. The blades clashed, sending bright violet sparks.

Tommy was stronger than last time, Eret could tell, Tommy's grip shifted, moving his swords in a way that allowed Eret's blade to slide off his own and before Eret had the chance to get their footing back, he lunged towards her. Eret sloped back, watching Tommy catch himself before he fell. The blonde paused.

"You could have pushed me in" he muttered, Eret nodded

"But I didn't"

"Shame" Tommy said, Eret stepped closer watching Tommy sheath his sword, they did the same.

"Tommy, I know I've wronged you, I know we all have. I know you'll never forget what we've done, I know that. What I've done has haunted me since the day I've done it, so I can only guess what's been haunting you" Eret kneeled in front of him. "I'm not asking for you to forget, I'm asking for forgiveness. Dream is only going to make your pain" Tommy grabbed Erets shoulders pulling him up, Tommy's thin fingers squeezed her shoulders as if to reassure them.

"Eret, you've not gone too far for forgiveness" Tommy began, The monarch felt a spark of hope that he dared not to express. "It's a shame that I am though".

A white hot pain erupted, starting from her back all the way through as if his organs were being torn apart. Eret looked down to find another sword pierced straight through their stomach.

"No you know how I feel" Wilbur whispered as he pulled his sword out, Eret coughed tasting iron. Hands moved off her shoulders and onto his chest as Tommy shoved Eret off the cliff.

The nauseating feeling of flying lurched Eret's stomach, as she braced for impact, the wind whipping off his sunglasses.

Tommy and Wilbur watched from above as Erets body splashed into the water beneath them, tendrils of crimson ichor staining the crisp blue a murky magenta.

"Phil won't be happy that we've ruined his little paradise" Wilbur joked as Tommy continued to stare down at Eret. Their white eyes staring at the sky, seeing nothing.

Tommy had watched Eret throw down her crown, it was almost amusing to see them outstretched in a murky pool of red, lying beside their crown.
