Chapter 19- Achilles and Theseus

Tommy couldn't believe it

Puffy was gone

Sapnap left him

Phil warded him away

Techno still probably hated him

Dream had escaped

And yet here he was sitting down and calmly drinking a fucking tea with Wilbur Soot. Either the Gods of Minecraft were with Wilbur or just hating Tommy at the moment.

Wilbur cleared his throat suddenly causing Tommy's eyes to snap up locking with his in seconds.

"So, mind explaining why I found you crying in the middle of Mumza's woods. The day Dream broke out?" he asked, his voice was soft but Tommy could see that he was impatient. In fact Wilbur had probably been on the way to greet his hero.

Tommy held back a snort.

"Tommy" Wilbur called out to him again, his eyes softening, he placed a hand on his shoulder pulling him into a half hug. Tommy groaned, he really didn't want to talk about it, but Wilbur did find him and he wasn't blabbering on about a stupid rivalry and the fucker hadn't even mentioned Dream once.

If Tommy didn't know Wilbur the way he did. He would have thought that he was genuinely caring about his feelings. Wilbur frowned as though reading his mind, shit. He forgot the fact Wilbur knew him just as well.

How could he not have after all they had been through- stop it.

Wilbur ruffled his hair, not that it made a difference, rubbing his back with his other hand.

"I care Tommy, I do. I hate the fact that we've been so distant since I got back. Please please. Let me make it up to you" he begged.

He's had his hopes up too many times today to let that fool him.

"That's bullshit Wilbur, you know how I know? Because I've had four people already let me down today. Like hell am I going to make it five"

Wilbur straightened up suddenly. His eyes dangerous, he gently shook Tommy

"Who? Who hurt you" he snarled, Tommy was taken aback, all of the sudden WIlbur went from calm and passive, to fully ready to kill someone after he mentioned the shit he had gone through. Tommy shook of the shock and shrugged

"You know the usual, Puffy"

"Your therapist!" Tommy shot him a look of annoyance as he ticked the next one off with his fingers.

"Sapnap" Wilbur narrowed his eyes, Tommy shrunk down.

"Who were the last two?" he demanded, Tommy shook his head.

"There was no one. It's not that I really care, I don't deserve their forgiveness" he muttered.

Wilbur stood up,

"PHIL AND TECHNO." he shrieked "OH YOU HAVE GOT TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME".

Tommy winced as Wilbur started pacing, a maniac look growing in his eyes as he muttered to himself. He looked up from his mumbling, seemingly realising he was not alone and kneeled down in front of Tommy.

"I'm only going to say this once because I only need to say it once. You don't need their forgiveness, you shouldn't have had anyone fucking screw you over. I'm sorry that I was a shit brother, I'm sorry I was a shit person in general. But I'm going to promise you this, there isn't going to a fifth person to betray you ever" he finished in a low growl, before standing up.

Tommy shouldn't have felt relieved; he should have felt uneasy or threatened but no.

How the fuck did this bitch no exactly what to do to get his guard down? Tommy sighed looking into Wilbur's eyes, searching for even the hint of a lie. He found a maniac look that swirled with a soft caring lilt. Before gingerly putting his arms out for a hug. Wilbur scooped him up squeezing him as tightly as he could knowing that now he had Tommy back. He wasn't going to give him a chance to slip away.

Gently Wilbur put Tommy down, Wilbur was the first to break eye contact, nervously putting out his hand,

"Partners?" he asked, was it too soon? Was he going to frighten Tommy? Break his trust?

But Tommy grabbed onto his shoulder with a grin, knocking his hand aside.

"Nah bitch, brothers" Wilbur couldn't have smiled wider.

And neither could have Tommy.
