Tommy groaned internally, so Ranboo doesn't show up to work and now he has to do mining instead. Not that he actually cared, honestly it was good to spend some time with Wilbur again, especially because it had nothing to do with blowing up a nation or plotting revenge against a wrong'un.

He turned to look at the older man who was contently humming to himself as he mined. The song wasn't familiar in the slightest to Tommy, probably something he composed during his 13 years of solitary confinement- death.

Tommy had figured out within a few hours how much Wilbur really had changed, well, he knew his brother had changed, 13 years alone is enough to change someone. 13 years left to your own devices could fuck someone up.

Wilbur had a plan in his head and Tommy knew it, what was infuriating was the fact that Tommy had absolutely no idea what it was, whatever it was. It was big. Tommy could tell by the not so subtle side eyes Wilbur kept giving Tommy.

Although it made the blonde wonder, did he really mean what he had said? Did he really want to make amends or was that part of his plans too?

"You're doubting something" Wilbur half sang, Tommy turned to him, his eyes narrowed.

"Yeah whatever bitch" he said in a huffy Tommy way. Wilbur laughed

"Seriously Tommy, what's on your mind?" he asked. Tommy looked down, hesitantly he muttered

"Did you really mean what you said the other day?" he asked. Wilbur frowned

"Well, yeah. Of course Tommy. Why wouldn't I?" he responded, he sounded so concerned and so genuine. Tommy almost believed him

"So what are you planning" he shot back a little harshly, Wilbur's pickaxe stopped mid-swing.

"I don't know what you mean," he said nonchalantly. It was Tommy's turn to laugh,

"Liar" he said. It was strange how they both were keeping such a light tone, whilst discussing something that was most likely going to leave with someone dead, dying or even undead.

"Yes Tommy" Wilbur said continuing to mine,

"So what are you planning?"

"You won't like it" he protested, Tommy's blue eyes bore into Wilbur's, before he knew it the truth spluttered out.

"Now that Dream has escaped, I made a deal that I would come and help him take it back" he said, Tommy didn't move, he nodded coaxing Wilbur to continue. Not that it was needed, Wilbur's eyes had gone strangely blank, as though he was deep in thought. "He wants control again, he knows control would equal peace. He told me that the ideal plan would be for no one to die, but if it came to it. There was someone expendable that he could make a point with."

"Who?" Tommy demanded

"Quackity, he said. After everything Quackity did to him, he wouldn't mind killing him. I offered to help, it's the least I can do after he brought me back. Oh, and Tubbo" he added as an afterthought. Tommy pounced at the taller man, grabbing him by the coat in a manner that only made Wilbur smile. He could see the fire in Tommy's eyes. Finally,

"He said that Tubbo was a distraction from his main goal. He wouldn't tell me much about it. He said that he was disruptive to his plans, something that could have succeeded months ago if it wasn't for him".

Tommy roughly shook Wilbur,

"What about me Will?" Tommy yelled.

"Oh he said that you were very valuable. That if anything were to happen to you, It would ruin his plans. He said that aside from me, you and that push over were what he needed to succeed". Tommy had the urge to punch the man in front of him. Instead, he solved him as hard as he could, Wilbur tumbled down laying on the ground with a gleeful smirk on his face. Tommy knew who that push over was and began to stumble back towards the opening of the mine, he needed to get to Ranboo.

Wilbur swept his legs out from underneath him, a sword in each hand.

"No Tommy, you're going to stay here until Dream has what he needs from Ranboo" he said, he was suddenly alert and ready to fight. Tommy wasn't going to let that stop him now, Dream had gone too far once again. "I'll tell you what, if you can beat me. I'll let you go. You might save him" Wilbur said, offering Tommy a sword.

The blonde snatched it and began to charge at Wilbur, he was so, so angry. Dream had taken everything away from him again. He swung blindly at Wilbur, the two swords clashing causing the whole room to light up due to sparks. "Come on Tommy, we were trained by the best fighters in the smp. You can do better than that" Wilbur jeered. Tommy froze, he didn't have time for this. Again he began swinging brashly at the older of the two, Will swiftly stepping to the side, then catching Tommy as he tried to make an attempt at the stairs.

He slammed the boy into the ground, causing Tommy to gasp out in shock and pain, his sword clattering to the ground just out of reach. Wilbur held his own sword against the thin flesh of Tommy's neck. He grinned triumphantly, suddenly his smile faded. It was only for a second as Wilbur's eyes began to focus on something else, perhaps a private message.

"Ah" he muttered, before straightening up and stepping away from Tommy, the blonde sprung up bolting to the exit. Wilbur didn't stop him, he didn't even give chase. He just watched smiling giddily as Tommy disappeared from his line of sight.

Shit.

He needed to find Ranboo. now
