Masterminds POV
I woke up to the calm blue ceiling of mine and Mr. Compress's shared bedroom. I turned to see Mr. Compress still sleeping on his bed, snoring softly. I sighed, knowing my friend did not approve of what I was about to do.
I pulled my blanket off myself; shivering at the sudden coldness. I slowly climbed out of bed and quietly walked into the bathroom with my clothing thinking about what Mr. Compress said last night.
He was right. This could be dangerous. Sometimes people can't handle quirks at all. They turn into mindless zombies. No, not zombies. Meat suits seems a bit more accurate. Mindless, useless meat suits.
But I had to do something. I hadn't got any information on Izuku's whereabouts and if I had, Toga might still be alive. It was my fault. I had to do something.
I walked into the bathroom and got dressed. I turned to the mirror and, for a moment, I just stared at it. It still surprised me how much my appearance had changed because of the experiments.
My once light hair had turned to a pitch-black with white spots and my skin had become paler if that was even possible. My eyes had changed too. They were a bright red now. They were almost like a ruby.
I sighed and pulled my orange mask on over my head and then pulled the hood of my black hoodie over it. I walked out of the bathroom and grabbed my phone. I quickly walked out of the bedroom and out of the apartment. Thankfully, without waking Mr. Compress.
I walked quickly through the city and to the warehouse the league of villains met at. I walked into the warehouse and was met with Shigaraki. He was holding a black satchel, and I knew exactly what was in it. I took the satchel from him and slung it over my shoulder.
"Thanks for getting this for me on such short notice." I said, looking around the warehouse.
"Where's Dabi and Kirogiri? I asked.
"They went out to find a base. Dabi is getting sick of this place." Shigaraki shook his head; a slight grin appearing on his face.
I began to walk out of the warehouse, but Shigaraki stopped me.
"Try not to come back as a meat suit." I smiled slightly and nodded. I walked away and towards the fixed destination of this guy's choice. Some broken, run-down alley.
I made it and found a tall, skinny man. He seemed angry like I was wasting his time.
"Finally, your here. Let me give you a rundown of my quirk." The man said in a surprisingly soothing voice. "If I can think of the power I can have it, but I'll also have the drawbacks of someone who was born with the quirk. I can also transfer emitter-type quirks if I use it on the person I want to give the quirk to." He said quickly. I nodded. "I'm going to give you a quirk I call dream. You just have to think of the person you want to contact and you will fall into a sleep-like trance where you can then contact them." I nodded.
Suddenly, I felt overwhelming sleepiness take over my body. I was about to say something, but I fell asleep before I could.
I opened my eyes to find a black abyss. At first, I saw no one there, but then I saw a figure appear in the distance. It was the man.
"What is this place?" I asked, looking around my new surroundings.
"This is the place you are taken to when you are in the trance." He said with a slight frown. I groaned while looking for any sign of light.
"Why does this hurt so much?" The man's frown turned into a smile.
"Your body isn't accustomed to the quirk. It's also the fact that your DNA is changing so you can get the quirk. Warning, the pains going to get worse the more you use the quirk."
Just then, I woke up from my trance to find the man waking up in front of me. He quickly stood up and so did I. He pulled out his phone and began typing something. "Now give me the money. I don't have all day."
I pulled the satchel off my back and began to rummage threw it. I found what I was looking for, a syringe filled with pink liquid, and pulled it out slowly as to not draw attention to it.
I began to walk towards him slowly so he wouldn't notice me. Surprisingly, it worked. I stuck the syringe in his neck and injected the liquid. He let out a howl of pain and leaned against the wall to steady himself. It looked as if he were trying to use his quirk, but I knew he couldn't.
"What was that thing?!" He screamed out, touching his neck to check for blood.
"Quirk canceling serum," I said, pulling out a dagger from my satchel. I tried to stab him in the side, but he grabbed my arm. I tried to switch my weapon to the other hand, but he twisted my arm with a strong grip which caused me to drop the knife.
Well, this is annoying I thought. I tried to grab the dagger, but he let go of me and kicked me in the stomach. I was on my back now, and the man had his foot on my chest.
"If you give me the money I'll let you go. If you don't give me the money then I can't guarantee you'll leave this place with your life." He said. I looked to where I remembered I had dropped the dagger. It was just a few inches away from my foot. I stretched my foot out and kicked the dagger to where I could grab it. The man tried to grab the dagger, but I got to it first and stabbed him in the leg.
He lifted his foot off my chest which allowed me to get to my feet. He tried to limp away, but I kicked his wounded leg and he fell to the ground face first. I pulled him up by his hair and stabbed my dagger through his neck. I pulled the dagger out and dropped his head; letting it slam onto the ground. I wiped the blood off the dagger using the man's shirt, and I slipped the dagger back into the satchel.
I walked back to the warehouse and returned the satchel to Shigaraki. I walked back home and was met with a very angry and worried Mr. Compress. Just as suspected, I was met with a lecture. He finally let me leave the living room and I went to my room. I didn't even change my clothes. I just plopped down on the bed and took a nice, long nap. Killing someone really takes it out of you.
