Kirogiri's POV

I ran up to Shigaraki to try and help him, but the second I touched him my hand began to disintegrate. I pulled my hand away from Shigaraki. Most of my hand was gone, but just seconds later my hand regenerated as if it had never been damaged in the first place.

As I was examining my hand the floor beneath me began to disintegrate,  but unlike my hand, this didn't regenerate. I looked down the hole that was created and saw that cracks were spreading to the room below us.

I backed up away from the hole and tried to think of something that could help me in this situation as the hole grew bigger, but nothing I knew about quirk malfunctions could help me. The only thing I knew that could help is a healing quirk, but we don't have a healer in the group.

While trying to think of something that could help us I remembered an incident that happened a few years ago. A civilian was having a quirk malfunction and was causing damage to the surrounding area, so they had Erasurehead come and erase the quirk and the problem was solved.

I could use the handcuffs!

I pulled the handcuffs out of my pocket and went to go over the hole, which was now about three meters wide. I jumped over the hole and grabbed onto his wrist. I quickly put the cuff on and all the destruction stopped. The cracks and the gaping hole were still there but they stopped growing.

Shigaraki looked over his arms, presumably looking for any injuries, before tackling me in a hug. This shocked me at first but after a moment I returned the hug.

Shigaraki's POV

"So what was that about?" Kirogiri asked.

I pulled away from the hug. "I don't know. One minute this was voluntary and the next it was...this. And, by the way, usually, people don't think 'Hey let's go have a quirk malfunction and torture ourselves.'"

Kirogiri rolled his eyes and I looked down the hole my quirk created. "So how are we gonna fix that?" I asked.

Kirogiri sat there thinking for a moment before saying, "Try reversing it."

I looked at him confused. "What? You know I've never been able to reverse my decay."

Kirogiri shrugged. "Well the damage to us was regenerating almost immediately, so if you can do it subconsciously, you probably can do it consciously. It doesn't hurt to try. Best case scenario you fix the damage, worst case scenario it doesn't do anything."

I thought for a moment before agreeing. "Guess you're right."

I closed my eyes and concentrated for a moment. After a few seconds, I heard a sound that was similar to the sound of my quirk decaying something. I opened my eyes and saw that the hole was gone.

Kirogiri's POV

I was now standing where the hole used to be. I held my hand out and Shigaraki took it. I pulled him off the ground and began to walk away.

"So you can repair what you destroy, interesting," I said, walking out of the room.

I waited for a moment before Shigaraki came running after me. "Wait, just interesting?! Isn't super awesome!?"

I chuckled and walked with Shigaraki downstairs.
