Just a dysfunctional Family

Kirogiri's POV

I was patrolling the area around UA with Mr. Compress, Dabi, Twice, and Spinner. We were doing this so Mastermind and the vigilante Red Riot could get the information we needed for the rescue mission.

Everything was well until another group showed up. They weren't heroes and they weren't students either, but before I could get a closer look at the group a bullet was shot. The others ran and I ran with them. I could've created a portal for us to escape, but I didn't know when the next bullet would be shot, so I just kept running in hopes that we would find a safe space where I could teleport us all out of here.

We ran but the group followed close behind. I knew we wouldn't find a safe place away from them so I decided to make the portals now while we were running.

The portals began to appear, but a member of the other group managed to knock me to the ground, causing me to lose my focus and the portals to disappear.

The person with the gun came closer and pointed the gun at me.

"Creat a portal and I shoot." The person said. I sat there doing nothing for a moment before I noticed that the other member of the league had been huddled together. Now I only needed to make three portals rather than six.

I closed my eyes and focused on the two other portals that didn't have me so I could make sure the other made it out of here. I saw the group of four go through one portal and I turned quickly to look and see if Mastermind and Red Riot made it through his portal. When I turned I saw that they both were gone, so I assumed that the two had made it through.

Before I could turn back towards the person with the gun, they shot me. I tried to dodge the bullet completely but it ended up hitting my leg.

The person tried to grab me but the heroes could be heard. so instead, they ran with the rest of their group. I tried to run myself, but when I tried to run I fell to the ground. The bullet wound wouldn't let me move.

When I lifted my head up to try and run again, I noticed my hand wasn't entirely covered in its usual mist. It was just like a normal hand with a slight purple hue. I sat there staring at it for a moment before coming to my senses and realizing I could warp myself out of here.

I activated my quirk, but nothing happened.

Someone grabbed the back of my shirt and pulled me onto my feet.

"Kirogiri, if you fight back or try to run I'll have to use force." Hound Dog said from behind me. Despite his warning, I attempted to run again, but the second I began to run, I felt an intense pain in the back of my head. I could tell that I had been hit with something in the back of my head and the intention was to knock me out, but it didn't work. I decided to pretend to be knocked out so I wouldn't be hit again.

Hound Dog picked me up and walked me over to the UA entrance where he waited for cops to arrive and take me away.
