Calming The Storm

Chapter Thirty

                Smoke's pov

Out of nowhere Jax and Opie got into trouble.

"Son of a bitch!!" I yell.

Clay, Tig, Juice, Bobby, Chibs, and I get ready to head out. Tig and I called up Happy. Then cops and the fire department rolled in.

What the hell?

After.

"I'm so not ready to clean this mess." I say rubbing my face.

We all left. I hoped on Juice's bike, we left, took care of what needed, and then went back.
We went into the clubhouse.

"We will get crew in here tomorrow to help fix it up." Clay says.

I leaned back on the bar. Tara told us that her and Jax are engaged.
We all cheer.

"So are Smoke and and Juice!" Jax says with a smile.

Later.

"So I was thinking, what if we went to a justice of the peace for the moment and then later a ceremony." I say to Juice.

"I'm okay with it." He says.

We walked out of a place and then the sheriff showed and Juice got cuffed.

"Babe." I say as then put him in the car covering my mouth.

I look at Chibs and my heart began to race.

"We'll get him back sweetheart." Chibs says as they put him in the car.

"You may wanna call your husband's lawyer." One of the cops say.

After a while I was taken to the station and to Juice.
What the hell is going on? Why is this happening?

"What would the club do if they knew you we're black?" Sheriff Rosevelt asks Juice.

Oh what the hell?!!

I started to get angry.

"What do you think Ms.Teller?" He asks me.

"I knew this. I still love him no matter what." I say.

"First they will make him pull his patch, not to mention yours. They will also make you scrape the ink. Then if you are lucky enough. Make it out alive. As far as Samcro knows, neither of you never existed." He says.

I then felt my nose scrunch. My angry face.

"You don't know dick about my club!" Juice and I say.

"Yeah. About dick nothing. (He looked at me) Lady's shouldn't talk like that. (Then back to Juice.)
But Leroy, everything. How do the two of you think they woulda found out the truth about Jaunita, her roots?" He asks.

"Don't you dare mention our daughter!" Juice and I say.

He then let Juice go.

"What happens now?" I ask Juice as we leave.

"We go back home." Rosevelt says.

I then looked to Juice. We got up and left.

"That was bull shit." I say.

"I know babe." He says.

Later. There's a vote to be made about doing business with the cartel. Juice and I say nay. Our vote is one.

"It passes." Clay says.

I shook my head then Juice and I walked out of the chapel. I'm walking pretty fast.

"Baby." Juice says.

I'm the first to get outside. I stop and then turn to him.

"Let's go to the justice of the peace now." He says.
