Part 6 - Grief

It was a few weeks after Taylor's death...

"Are you sure your good to do this interview?" My agent asked

"I'm sure, it'll be fun anyway" I reassured her

"If your sure" She added

An hour later I was sitting in a chair in front of cameras, minuets later they were turned on and I had to play "Happy Y/N"

"Good Morning and welcome back to One Chicago Centre! Today we have the following cast members. Monica Raymund, Jesse Spencer, Joe Minoso, Jesse Lee Soffer, Jason Beghe, Torrey Devito, Nick Gehlfuss and Y/N. Y/L/N. Can these actors and actresses remember their first ever lines? Let's wait and see!" The producer explained

"Uhm let me think" Monica said

"I'm sure mine was As usual, like the class clown!" Jesse explained

"See you got a great first line! Mines was What's up?" Monica said as Jesse laughed

"Hey, can I send a couple of Long Island iced teas to those ladies in the corner" Jesse Said

"Once a playboy always a playboy" Jason Laughed

"Go on then smart ass, what's yours?" Jesse asked

"Are you Casey?" Jason explained

"God this is hard" Nick said

"Oh no mines is super easy, Let's get her to treatment 2!" Torrey said as she laughed

"Maggie where are we going?" Nick explained

"You've gotta love Maggie" Torrey added

"Oh fantastic!" Joe explained

"I loved my first line, it was Are you that hot shot Luitenent who thinks he can get with everyone in the CFD?" I explained as Joe laughed

"It definitely gave the viewers an impression of Alison" Joe added as the cameras were switched off

"How are you doing?" Joe asked as he turned to me

"Im doing alright, We start filming next week so that'll be fun" I explained

"You've not read the script yet have you?" Joe asked

"Uh no, I was going to do it later why?" I asked

"Your taking his job Y/N, your the new Squad 3 Luitenent" Joe explained

"What? The role of Alison was only supposed to be temporary!" I argued

"And you've been here 3 years! Not to mention your a fan favourite" Joe said

"Uhm yeah, I guess. Thanks Joe" I said before rushing out

I got home that night feeling even more guilty than normal, I then grabbed my keys and drove down to the cemetery. I started walking until I found Taylor's grave, I sat down next to him.

"I'm struggling okay, everything is just so hard. I'm acting like this isn't bothering me but I'm reality. I can't sleep, I can't eat, god I can't even be alone with myself. We start filming season 6 next week, this was the season that Alison and Kelly were supposed to get together. I miss you, so much. I love you Taylor, sleep tight buddy" I said before getting up and walking away

It's a week later and I just pulled up to the set, I sighed before getting out my car. We had a meeting with our director and went over the scripts.

"So obviously this season is going to be really hard for everyone, with the recent passing of Taylor. But obviously this needs to factor into the show. So Kelly is going to have gone up to Bennys cabin and got into a horrific car accident on the drive home. Alison isn't going to cope well and neither is Casey" The director explained

"Sounds good" I said before getting up

"Okay first scene, everyone is gathered in the briefing room. This is when Alison breaks the news" The director said as I put my script down

We all got into our places

"And action!" He yelled

"Why are we all here?" Gabby asked

"Not a clue" Casey said as Alison walked in

"So it wasn't Boden who called this meeting?" Herrmann asked

"No but thank you all for coming" Alison said with tears forming in her eyes

"What's going on?" Casey asked

"So as you all know, Kelly went up to Bennys this weekend. Uhm" Alison said, struggling to get the words out

"Alison?" Dawson asked, concerned

"Taylor..No! Uhm" I said, panicking

"Take your time" Casey mouthed

"I can't do this" I said before running out

It's later that night and I get a knock at my door, I open it to see Monica and Jesse

"How you holding up?" Monica asked, looking at my puffy red eyes

"He's dead" I explained

"He's been dead for 3 weeks now honey" Monica said softly

"It's finally hit me that he's not coming home, he's never going to walk through those doors again!" I yelled, not taking in what Monica had said

"I'll go make some coffee" Jesse said before making his way into the kitchen

"Why don't we sit down" Monica said as she guided me towards the couch

"Why didn't it hit me sooner?! I feel so bad! Taylor's gone and I've only been to his grave once! I loved him mon" I yelled whilst sobbing

"You went to his grave?" Monica asked as she played with my hair

Jesse then walks in with coffee and sits down across from us, I sat fiddling with my hands

"It's going to get better, remember that" Jesse said

"I hope so, I really do" I said
