Highschool love story - Kelly Severide

You were walking to 5th period with your books in hand. A boy then appeared next to you

"Hey Kelly" you smiled as you looked at him

"Here let me get those" Kelly said as he took your books from you

You and Kelly had grew up together, your dad was also within the CFD and that's what made him and Kelly's dad so close.

"So any plans for tonight?" Kelly asked

"Not really, my dad is having people over but that's about it" You said

"Derek from English, he's having a party tonight. You should come" Kelly smiled

"I'll think about it Severide" You said as you took your books from him and walked into your class

Kelly watched you walk away and smiled

It was later that night and you were helping your mom with the dishes, you finished with them and began to walk upstairs when you got a call from Kelly

"Hey you" You answered

"Hey kid" Kelly said as you burrowed your brows

"Kid?" You said

"I'm kinda drunk, you wanna be a gem and pick me up?" Kelly said

"Your lucky I love you Severide" You said before hanging up the phone

You then drove to the party, when you got there Kelly was sat doubled over on the side walk. You got out your car and walked over to him

"Rough night?" You laughed

"Have I ever told you how pretty you are?" Kelly said as he stumbled over to you

"It's good to know your still shooting your shot even when your drunk" You laughed as he tripped over his own feet

Luckily you caught Kelly before he hit the ground

"Let's get you home" You said as you got Kelly to stand up right however he rested his head on your shoulder as you walked

You got Kelly into the car and drove him home, neither Jenifer or Benny were in. You took out your keys and let him inside. You turned around for one second until you heard a bang. You turned around to see Kelly lying on the ground

"Jesus Severide" you muttered as you walked over to him

You knelt down to get to his level

"Do you need some help?" You giggled as Kelly nodded

You managed to get Kelly to bed, you didn't want to leave him so you slept on the couch downstairs. The morning arrived and you walked into his bedroom and opened all the curtains

"Jesus" Kelly said as he jerked awake

"Rise and shine Severide!" You yelled

"Ugh, my head" Kelly said

"The fire academy try outs are in 2 weeks! Get up and get ready for our run!" You said overly loud

"I still don't know why your not trying out" Kelly said

"We've been through this, now get up!" You yelled as you threw his t shirt at him

*2 weeks later*

You paced up and down the corridors waiting for Kelly to finish his try out. You knew how much he wanted this until you heard a noise. You looked up and saw Kelly

"Im in! I got in!" He yelled as he wrapped his arms around you

"Ahh I'm so proud of you!" You smiled

Kelly pulled away and without thinking he pulled you close and began to kiss you. Don't get me wrong you had feelings for Kelly, of course you did. You had the feeling he had feelings for you too but you didn't want to rush into things. However you didn't pull away. Kelly eventually pulled away. He looked into your eyes

"I love you Y/N. I've always loved you" He said softly

"I love you too Kelly" You smiled

*10 years later*

You and Kelly dated for the best part of 2 years until you had to move for work. You both tried as hard as you could to make the long distance thing work but it eventually got too difficult. You moved to New York initially to become a lawyer, during your time dating Kelly you had attended Law School. However the game was too much for you so you gave up. You then decided that maybe being a firefighter was for you. 10 years later, your now 29 years old and your the commissioner of The New York Fire Department. You loved your job however one day you walked into work and got told you were needed to fill the role as the Commissioner of Chicago Fire Department. So you packed up your things and moved.

"Hey Sarah?" You asked looking at your assistant

"Yeah Boss?" She asked

"This Luitenentcy I'm presenting this morning, what's the firefighters name?" You asked

"Kelly Severide, he works squad 3 over at 51" Sarah replied

"Got it, thanks Sarah" You smiled

An hour later you were standing outside 51 where everyone was gathered to see Kelly. He walked out and his eyes landed on your straight away.

"Good job Severide" You mouthed as you smiled

Shortly after the ceremony happened Kelly walked over to you

"Y/N, I never thought I'd see you again. Especially in a CFD uniform" Kelly smiled

"It's only been 5 years kelly" You said

5 years ago you came back to celebrate your dads birthday. You pulled out your phone to look at the time. Your Lock Screen was a picture of your 4 year old daughter, Violet. Kelly looked at your phone

"You've got a kid?" He asked

"We have a kid" You muttered as Kelly's eyes widened....
