Annual Christmas parties - One Chicago - Jay Halstead

"Hey Y/N? What time does your dads party start?" Dawson asked as she sat down

"Like 7 or something, ask golden child over there" I said as I pointed at Kelly

"Just because dad likes me more doesn't mean I'm the golden child" Kelly smiled

Yep, Kelly Severides little sister. Tonight my dad was throwing his annual Christmas Eve party, only held exclusively to members of the CFD. I was the captain of truck 81 and Kelly was still the Luitenent of squad 3 yet he got everything handed to him. Benny just couldn't face that his daughter was doing better than his son in a "mans job"

"What are you wearing?" Dawson asked

"No clue, was thinking something really slutty to piss my dad off" I laughed

"Nothing Christmassy?" Dawson added

"Oh please, this isn't for "Christmas reasons" this is to get golden boy over there in with all the chiefs" I explained

"Can you shut up?" Kelly asked

"Aww look at the little boy trying to defend himself" I smiled as I got up

"Your older by 2 years" Kelly explained

"I'm still older" I said as I squished his cheek

"Who let you two work in the same firehouse?" Cruz asked

"Ahh another one of Bennys tricks" I explained

After an hour we had all got back from a call and I was in the kitchen making lunch.

"So is Detective Hottie taking you tonight?" Dawson asked as she took a carrot slice

"With Benny and Kelly Severide in the same house? I don't think so" I replied

"Oh come on, you like him right?" Dawson asks

"I - Not really" I explained

Okay that was the biggest lie I've ever told, well other than that time I ruined Christmas by throwing Kelly's brand new game boy out the window but that's a different story. I really liked Jay, we hit it off and 6 dates later I was still "not sure"

"Kelly! Y/N! I need you in the briefing room" Boden said as I nodded

Me and Kelly followed him and we sat down

"So your mom and Benny? Are they a thing" He asked

"She hates his guts" Kelly added

"So you guys wouldn't mind if I you know, did some mistletoe action with her tonight?" Boden asked

"Chief!" I yelled

"Go for it!" Kelly said

"Great! Thanks guys!" Boden said before walking out

"Your a jerk, moms gonna kill you" I explained as I got up

"I swear to good if you tell her" Kelly threatened

"You'll what?" I yelled

"....nothing" Kelly yelled

"That's what I thought" I smiled

It's later that night and I had just arrived at Bennys, Kelly was obviously already there

"Hey sis" He said as he hugged me

"What the hell are you wearing?!" Benny yelled as he walked over

"A dress" I explained

"That only covers your stomach!?" Benny yelled

"Oh my god, it's fine dad" I explained

"Your meant to look presentable! Who is going to want to marry you in that?!" Benny yelled

"Oh yeah because all the boys will want me in that firefighters uniform!" I yelled, sarcastically

"Stop being a bitch" Benny yelled as guests started to walk in

"Hey" Maggie said as she hugged him

After a few minutes the party was in full swing, I was by the stairs with an eggnog in my hand.

"Hey you" Jay smiled

"You sure you wanna come within 6 feet of me? Benny Severide is right over there" I smiled

"I think I'll take that chance, care to dance?" He asked as he held out his hand

"Why of course" I smiled as I took his hand

He then lead me out to the dance floor and smiled, we then started to dance the night away. I could feel both Bennys and Kelly's eyes drawn to us, but for the first time in my life I didn't care. I didn't care what the Severides thought.

"You know your going to get murdered for this?" Jay asked

"I know, I'm willing to risk it" I smiled

Jay then leaned in and kissed me

"Who's that snogging your sister?" Casey asked

"Huh?, oh my god" Kelly said as he covered his eyes

Me and Jay then separated and I walked by Kelly

"Your inappropriate" He said

"Bite me" I laughed

Kelly then made a face at me

"Oh please like we didn't see you getting a little too close to Stella Kidd over there" I said

"Shut up!" Kelly yelled

I then laughed
