"Come on Max! We're gonna be late!" Will yelled
"Excuse me Halstead! This face takes time!" I yelled
"That's it, I'm leaving!" Will said as max began to run after him
"Your a jerk, hope you know that" I said as I hit his chest as I walked out the door
I've been friends with Will since I can remember. We been through so much together. My full name was Maxine Brown, or Max as Will liked to call me.
We arrived at school and Will parked the car. We began to walk into school, eventually we went our own ways. As I was walking to English, I felt hands on my hips
"I'll never understand why you don't let me drive you to school" Jay smiled as he put his arm around me as we walked
"You know that Will can't find out about us and plus Will's been driving me to school forever" I explained as he smiled at me
"You do know I could take him? Right here right now" Jay laughed
"Behave!" I said as I hit his arm
"I always behave, I'll see you Maxie" Jay smiled as he kissed me goodbye
"Never call me that again" I threatened as I began to walk in the classroom
It was later that night and I was sat with Will at his house doing homework. Half way through Will looked at me
"What's up?" I asked him
"I need to tell you something" He said
I looked at him, awaiting an answer
"We're moving to Chicago next week. For good" Will said
"What?! When did you find out about this?!" I said, raising my voice slightly
"About 2 weeks now, I'm sorry Max. I just didn't know how to tell you" Will said as I felt the tears building up in my eyes
"Oh is that the time? I've gotta run." I said as I ran out the door
"Max!" Will yelled
I closed the door behind me, tears began rolling down my cheeks. Jay walked past me
"Max?" He asked
"Leave me alone" I yelled as I walked out the front door
"Hey!" Jay said as he grabbed my hand
"When were you going to tell me?!" I sobbed
"I couldn't find the right time" Jay said
"Your moving to Chicago Jay! It's not exactly a 2 hour car journey! It's 12 hours Jay!" I yelled
Jay looked down, unable to say anything
"Your pathetic, we're done" I sobbed as I walked off
*10 Years later*
"David, it's thanksgiving. I'm not going to court!" I yelled down the phone
After Jay and Will left, I continued to stay in Connecticut. I attended law school and shortly after I graduated I got a job in Chicago. I was one of the top lawyers in the country. It was thanksgiving, I was spending it alone as usual. After working for a few hours I began to get hungry. I grabbed my keys and walked out my apartment. I got into the elevator and scrolled on my phone. All of a sudden, the lights flickered off and the elevator came to an abrupt stop.
