I like my ice-coffee dark. Dark and cold like you.

Today, I can confidently say that I am happy. I feel like myself, and I'm itching to get into a little trouble.

As Muller Brown walked us to our cottage, I couldn't help but stare at him. He was about as old as Harrison's father, maybe a little younger. I just wanted to see Harrison's reaction to my lingering gaze.

"Hey!" Harrison said, pulling the back of my shirt. I squeaked as he yanked me back against his chest, his hand quickly covering my mouth to muffle my surprised sound. Farmer Brown continued walking ahead, blissfully unaware that we were lagging behind.

"Listen, princess, you're mine, okay? If I see you touching another guy, or some guy touching you..." He grabbed my ass, and a shiver ran through me.

"I'll bring you here and fuck you in front of him, so he knows who you belong to," he whispered, his breath hot against my ear. His hand moved up the front of my shirt, and I felt my heart race. "If you beg me to stop, I promise you I won't. Just be a good girl and let me do my job."

With a swift smack to my backside, he turned and resumed following Farmer Brown.

What an asshole.

I dashed down the hill, eager to catch up to them both.

When we reached the cottage, it was absolutely adorable—cream-washed walls paired with light cream porcelain tiles. The stone fireplace wall was supported by wooden triangular beams, creating a cozy, inviting atmosphere. Plants were scattered in pots around the corners of the rooms, and the whole place felt light, comfy, and calming. I loved it.

"Do you like it?" Harrison asked, looking down into my eyes.

"I love it!" I replied, and he smiled back.

"I hope this works well for you two," Farmer Brown added.

"Yes, of course. We love it. Thank you so much again!" I said gratefully.

"Not a problem. I'll leave you two to settle in," he replied, stepping outside.

As soon as he was gone, I giggled and twirled around in circles, arms raised in delight. "You're in a happy mood," Harrison observed, amusement dancing in his eyes.

"Yes, I am! And it's all because of you." I pulled him closer by his collar. "You make me the happiest person alive. I love you, Harrison. So fucking much!"

He looked taken aback for a moment, then a gentle smile spread across his face. Leaning down, he kissed me—softly, passionately, beautifully.

"I love you, Aideen. More than you can imagine," he murmured, kissing me again. I tangled my fingers in his hair as we leaned back against the kitchen island.
