As Harrison drove us to the ball, I felt a storm of emotions swirling inside me. Before stepping out, I took a deep breath, trying to push away the haunting memories that threatened to resurface. My thoughts were jolted back to the present when I felt his warm hand on my thigh. "We can always go home," he offered, his voice low and reassuring.

"No. It's alright," I replied, forcing a smile that felt more like a mask than genuine happiness.

I opened the door, the cool evening air brushing against my skin as the valet boy stepped forward to assist me. He took the boys' bag from the trunk while Harrison carefully lifted them from the back seat—Drystan cradled in his strong arms and Adrastus on my hip. As Harrison handed over the keys, the valet drove the car to the underground parking, hidden behind the glass pool.

Standing there, I looked up at the grand stone building before us, its towering pillars framing the entrance like sentinels. The exterior was illuminated from below, the light casting intricate shadows against the walls, making it look almost ethereal.

I glanced at Harrison, my heart racing. "You ready?"

He smiled, a reassuring warmth radiating from him as he nodded. We interlocked our hands, our fingers entwining with an intimacy that felt like a silent promise as we walked up the stairs together, our boys nestled on our hips.

Stepping inside, we drew attention immediately. The room fell into a hush, murmurs rippling through the crowd like waves. "I can't believe that the Red Dragon and Lucifer are getting along—and have children," someone whispered, incredulous.

We moved with an air of confidence, as if we owned the place. The weight of their gazes settled on us, some filled with envy, others with outright awe. I caught snippets of conversations drifting around us, tinged with a mix of admiration and fear.
