Lan Wangji woke up very early the next morning, but quickly remembered that he shouldn't have  –  he was a guest, and all his usual duties were now done by others. He smiled faintly, and turned to watch his lover sleep.

Wei Ying was smiling, sprawling in the bed comfortably, his hand was resting over his belly, and Lan Zhan could not help but kiss gently the soft and vulnerable skin. He put his head on his chest, risking waking him up, snuggling close to him.

His fingertips traced the lines of his body and he noticed with great satisfaction that most marks from last night were already fading.

Lan Zhan heard Wei Ying sigh a little and felt his arm hug his shoulders – he was always searching for him, even in his sleep. He smiled – could there be a better birthday present? He was a blessing from the Gods.

He let him sleep a couple more hours. His mind wandered back, to the story his brother told at dinner. It was very clear to him that Lan Huan had fallen in love too deep, head over heels, just like last time.

Jiang Cheng, on the other hand, didn't seem so eager. He tried to search his heart for some kind of feeling or attitude towards Wei Ying's brother, but his general impression was of an unpleasant, ungrateful brat, who did more damage than good. He bit his lip; he feared this all would end up in tears, and he worried for his brother  –  his heart had always been too gentle and trusting for this world.

And if Jiang Cheng broke it? What would he do?  After all, he was his husband's brother, his only family apart from Jin Ling.

It was all a big mess, but at least Zewu-Jun was not lost beyond redemption – he had been on the verge. The grief and loss in his life had been continuous, never-ending. He frowned and made a mental note of it to observe the two carefully, any chance he got.

He got so lost in his thoughts that he was startled by a soft murmur in his ear:

- Happy birthday, husband.

- Good morning, my love.  –  he smiled and kissed him.

- You are frowning again, Hanguang-Jun.  –  Wei Wuxian sighed.  –  Is it me again?

- No, my love. I just hope our son is safe.  –  he lied.

Wei Ying sighed deeper.

- Both our sons. I worry too, yes.

They cuddled together and stayed silent for some time.

But after that Wei Ying asked seriously:

- What do you think about your brother and mine together?

Lan Zhan bit his lip again  –  it was foolish of him to think he could hide anything from his husband, their bond was far too strong.

- I worry.  –  he mumbled unhappily.  –  Don't get me wrong, but I fear Sandu Shengshou will ruin a good thing in the end. It is his nature... I remember how cruel he was to you.

Wei Ying hid his face in his neck, sighing.

- Mhm. I worry too. – he said briefly, not arguing. He knew his brother too well.

In a moment he grinned and asked cheekily:

- Do you think they had sex last night too?!?

- I sure hope so. – Lan Wangji answered shamelessly, surprising his husband anew. – But I am pretty sure they were listening to us.  –  he scoffed.

- Haha, Hanguang-Jun... Hahaha!  –   Wei Ying laughed nervously; he was blushing: Lan Zhan was rarely noisy during sex.  –  It is your birthday after all!  –  he tried to patch it up.

- Mmmm.

- I am not sorry, Lan Zhan!!!  –  he pouted.

- Neither am I, sweetheart.  –  he smiled.

- Ooooh. –  he moaned.

Wei Wuxian momentarily got on top of him, leaning in and kissing him deeply. Hanguang-Jun opened his mouth to let him in, enjoying the soft lips once again.

He was listening, once again, still very much in love:

- Lan Zhan... My lovely... My loved one... Hanguang-Jun... I love you so much, so much, so so so much... What do you want for your birthday, my sweetest? What can I do? What do I give?  I would give you anything... anything, Hanguang-Jun... anything, Lan Zhan... anything...  -  he was murmuring, flushed, kissing his face thirstily, insatiable to touch, to caress, to love.

Lan Wangji closed his eyes, sighing deeply, and flipped him over, getting on top of him. He felt him shiver a little  –  he placed his hands on his chest, smiling. Hanguang-Jun let his hair fall over them, locking them away from the world again.

He whispered coarsely:

- Give me your eyes, husband... I want them.

- Take them, beloved. They are yours...  -  Wei Ying gasped, looking up at the sea of honey.

- Give me your fingers, my love... I want them.

- Yours, Hanguang-Jun... Always...

Wei Wuxian touched his mouth and his fingers immediately got licked and kissed gently.

- Give me your lips, darling... I want them.

- Now. Right now.

Wei Ying wrapped his arms around his neck and pulled him in for a slow kiss that took a lot longer than planned.

Lan Wangji broke away, dazed, and murmured:

- Give me... Give me your heart, my sweetheart... I want it...

Wei Ying shuddered, and, closing his eyes, he opened the front of his clothes, bearing his chest.

- Take it, Hanguang-Jun. Take your sword and cut it out. It's yours anyway.

Lan Wangji shook all over. He knew that it was not play  – Wei Wuxian was absolutely serious. He scooped him off the bed and into his arms, and held him tight for a very long time.

This was how Lan Xichen found them, after venturing into their room after knocking a couple of times and not getting any response.

- I tried to knock... Uh, I am... I am sorry, I can come again later.  –  he stuttered, embarrassed, wondering what to do.

- No. –  Wei Ying murmured, not letting go, though.  –  Forgive us, Zewu-Jun, we will be joining you very soon. No need for apologies; we are late for breakfast, I know.

- I love you. I love you very much.  –  Lan Zhan whimpered.

- I know. I know.  –  Wei Ying caressed his back.  –  And I know that you know too.

He nodded weakly, unwilling to let him go, ever again.

- Let's go for breakfast, dearest, and then we can do whatever you want. It's your day.  –  Wei Ying was coaxing.

- Mmm.

Lan Xichen smiled awkwardly, blushing, and bowed lightly, leaving them.
