"Ah, a scarab! And that one's a canid...wooahhh what an amazing golem!... Oh, a peryton!" Mark quickly ran to a creature that resembled a white gazelle having huge magnificent wings as that of an eagle.
Before he could reach the peryton however, another demon magically appeared in front of him like a bolt of lightning that suddenly flashed from the sky. It looked exactly like the demon he summoned but was snow white all over with its eyes resembling a perfectly cut sapphire. The demon looked at his eyes as if pleading with him to adopt it.
Drawn by the demon's charm, he reached out for it with his two hands. As he touched the demon though, it's color suddenly shifted to black and its eyes became red as blood.
Along with the demon's transformation, all the other demons around him disappeared one after another. The environment around him transformed as well from snow white, to pitch black. He wanted to let go of the creature but his hands seemed to have been glued to it.
Mark then woke up with a strange feeling of being drenched in water. 'It was a dream after all. Whew, what a weird dream that was'
Mark was surprised to find himself all dry contrary to his dank feeling.
He tried to brush it off and looked around him instead. He found himself sleeping in a bed with a soft cushion and a clean white mattress. He's half covered in an azure blanket, similar to the cover of his pillow.
The bed seemed to resemble what one could usually see in hospitals. The room was as spacious as their whole house with an ivory white table beside the bed and a black chair tucked in it. It had no windows yet, it felt cold inside. He looked upward and saw what seemed like a square air vent blowing air to the room.
Wherever he was, it sure looked like a cozy room. Why would he be brought to such a place?
"Oh no! My demon!" He quickly rose in a sitting position as he suddenly remembered his summoned demon that seemed to be nowhere in sight.
"Ah! You finally woke up!" The door in front of his bed where he was facing opened as a man clothed in a white physician's uniform entered the room.
The man showed a face of one in his late 40s. He had short grey hair which appeared to be uncombed and muddled. He showed no facial hair though and wore a pair of professional glasses which made him appear neat in appearance in spite of his ragged hair dew.
"You've been asleep for weeks now!" The man, who appeared to be a doctor, exclaimed as he walked towards Mark holding his stethoscope in his right hand.
"A week! You can't be serious!" Mark was even more shocked by the doctor's revelation who began laughing afterwards.
"Of course I'm not serious. You've only been here for a couple of hours." The doctor laughed continuously while putting the ear tips of his stethoscope to his ears then the chest piece on Mark's chest.
"Ah, your heartbeat has stabilized. That's good news." The doctor stopped laughing and gave Mark a closed smile and transferred the chest piece to his back.
"Now relax and inhale...then exhale...good! Everything looks fine!" The doctor remarked, pulling back the stethoscope.
"Ummm...where am I?" Mark inquired, realizing that he needed to go back home.
"Well, you're in the presence of the magnificent Dr. Garcia!" The doctor exclaimed, stroking his hair backward and lifting his chin in arrogance.
Mark just looked at the doctor, his face muddled with confusion. For a moment, there was an awkward silence until the doctor broke it by continuing his speech.
