Puppet, Ella and Mina, holding Carl, were all brought back to their small tent--that had finally been finished being re-set up for the week--all while hearing Charles crack his whip again. Ella and Puppet both cringed at the sound, as they tried not to think about what was to happen next by the time they'd be brought back to their tent.
Once arriving, Puppet sat down with Mina to get her comfortable for the night, while Ella tried to keep her nervous pacing to a minimum--the stimulant dose she'd been given for the show not helping her much. It was only the second dose she'd ever received, but it felt like the fourth. She could only hope it didn't cause her problems later on.
Over half an hour had passed, Ella was finally able to sit almost still, and Puppet had managed to sooth Mina's whimpering--as she was beginning to get used to the aching from the hooks. That assumption alone made the Marionette's heart ache for his daughter. Silence threatened the small tent, when suddenly, Bonnie and Gold were almost tossed in. They caught their balance at the last second, just as Sami Martinez left.
Well, Bonnie did anyways. As the bunny slowly lowered his aching form to the ground, Gold made an almost blind reach for the post in the center of the tent for balance, limping towards it as he did so. Missing by a few miss seen inches, the bear nearly fell to the ground. Ella quickly stood up to help. "Here-"
"Don't need help, Ella." Gold told her, swatting away her hands. As Ella took a step back, Gold continued to limp to the far barrier of the tent. Trying to slowly lower himself against the tent 'wall', Gold miscalculated the distance of the metal barrier, and practically fell against the wall in trying to lean on it. "Gold??"
"I'm fine..." The bear muttered, as he finally managed to sit down--feeling sore from not only the whip, but from the numerous stunts and performance acts him and Bon were being made to do. "Gold, are you okay?" Looking towards Puppet, Gold unwittingly looked at the spot over his friend's shoulder. "I'm... alright..." He tiredly answered, seeing the Marionette's surprisingly blurry figure lean towards his left.
"Well, you were limping on your way in... so..."
"Why is that so surprisin'?" Gold asked him. "Because it's just you doin' it..." Bonnie spoke up. Gold turned his head towards the bunny's general direction, but said nothing.
"How are your eyes?" Puppet then curiously asked. "... Why do you ask that?" Puppet looked to Ella. "Ells, you have more fingers than I do. Hold up a few for him." Nodding, Ella approached the two. Holding her hands up in front of Gold so he could see, she held up 7 fingers. "How many am I holding up?"
Gold leaned towards her a bit, and squinted his eyes. Why was it seeming difficult to tell? His eyes weren't this bad when he got glasses to begin with. Even without them, he'd he able to tell how many fingers somebody was holding up. Gold was trying his hardest to focus his sight, as he realized he was beginning to see double of Ella's fingers. "I..." Puppet waited to hear his answer. "...Ni-" Gold paused mid answer. "...Nine."
Ella's light green eyes met her brother-in-law's dark ones. Both of them had the same concerned look. As Ella lowered her hands, Puppet simply suggested, "You should rest your eyes, Gold." Only being able to tell from his friend's tone of voice, Gold figured he'd answered wrong. The bear had no way of clearly seeing the expression on the Marionette's face to tell. Only the tone of his voice.
"... Yeah, alright..." He quietly answered, just as Pippin made his entrance for the night--wearing his goofy dog grin upon seeing everyone.

"'Cirque Magique'...?" Undyne slowly read from the poster, ignoring how she undeniably butchered the pronunciation. Sans had brought her a 'tryouts' poster he'd found still hung up in one of the smaller businesses in Newer Home. The latest times for tryouts seemed to suspiciously line up with the times everyone had vanished. "So, what do you think?"
"well, cap, word on the street is that this, 'cirk magic'--or whatever--has been seemin' pretty shady the past couple years." Sans started. "even heard it from some humans, too." Undyne gave the skeleton monster a look of interest. "Really?" She wondered curiously. "yep. ask that cop captain in ebott yourself about it. they were in the heat once not that long ago."
"That's interesting. Maybe there is a connection."
"could very well be." Sans agreed, as he shoved his hands back into his coat pockets. "Alright, I think we gotta look into this." Undyne concluded.
