Requested: Yes, by for my 1k sleepover. It was supposed to be a drabble but then I ended up with more than 1.4k words so a separate post it is!

Prompts: 27 "Are you blushing?" + 1 "Is that my shirt?" "You mean our shirt?"

Warnings: (very) OOC Aragorn compared to the books/movies, because it's young Aragorn, and to be honest, most younger men act this way before their brain catches up with them

A/N: I combined both of your requests, hope you don't mind! You probably expected a fluffy romantic setting, so sorry if that was what you wanted... I went with cheeky young Aragorn instead.

"Honestly, Y/N, I really don't see the problem here," Aragorn said to you.

You walked a few steps behind him, burning two holes in his back.

"That would be because you are the problem! So of course you wouldn't see it," you growled.

The both of you were making your way back to your campsite, after a successful Orc chase. Well... you could call it successful because you won and slaughtered them all, but you didn't exactly come out of it unscathed.

Aragorn turned his head to look at you and the state you were in; your head and torso dripping with black Orc blood and your face like thunder. If looks could kill...
He had to bite his lip to keep the laughter inside, but failed miserably, fueling your anger even more.

"You know, most people thank me when I save them," he smirked, jumping over a small stream with practised ease.

"Save me? I had it perfectly under control!"

You had a little more trouble crossing the stream, choosing not to jump over it like Mr. Showoff did. You didn't expect the edges to be as slippery as they were however.

Your foot slipped and you could barely keep your balance. You might have let a tiny squeal escape your lips, but at least your dignity was saved.
Well... Sort of... When you looked up, you stared straight into Aragorn's eyes, who had watched the scene with a big grin on his face. Prick.

You still couldn't believe that the Chieftain sent you on a scouting mission with his son. Alone. You tried to persuade him, practically begged him to send someone else. But no... you got the talk of 'responsibility, and the duty to your people'.

Of course you knew that, you were ecstatic even that you finally could go out there and do something useful. But not with Aragorn! He was the last person you wanted to be paired up with.
Sure, he was easy on the eyes - very easy, even you had to admit that - but he was also reckless, too confident and overall a royal pain in the ass.

"Perfectly under control you say?" he laughed, crossing his arms over his chest. See? Pain in the ass.

You threw a handful of mud his way, but he easily dodged it.

"If you hadn't forced yourself into my fight, I could've shown you!"

You stormed past him and tried really hard to suppress the need to smack that grin right off his ridiculously handsome face.

"That Orc was strangling you!"

You'd finally reached the campsite and you immediately started gathering your things.

"I told you I had it covered!"

"But what if you didn't?" Aragorn countered, following your every move with a curious look. Were you leaving? You couldn't leave, you were on a mission!
