Based on that one gif of Aragorn pushing the door open... You know the one.

The sound of Aragorn's boots stomping on the stone floors echoed through the hallways of the citadel. His steps never faltered, not even on the stairs. No, this was the tread of a man with a purpose and he would not be stopped.

The servants he passed hurried out of the way, greeting him with a nod and a slight bow, following him with their eyes before they resumed their tasks, silently shaking their heads. They all knew where he was headed.

Aragorn didn't slow down when he spotted the heavy wooden doors of the throne room, his final destination, picking up his pace instead.

The people inside looked up when the doors started moving, not used to visitors who weren't properly announced first.

Aragorn pushed them open, the hinges groaning from the force he used, before the wooden doors slammed into the heavy stone walls with a loud bang.

The entire hall turned quiet.

Aragorn stood in the door opening, dressed in his ranger clothes and stared at the person sitting on the throne. His throne.

And then said person had to nerve to smile at him. Good.

"I know you like to make an entrance, my love, but do you have to do this every time you come back after your travels?" Arwen asked when he made his way to her. "The carpenters and blacksmiths fixed those doors only a few weeks ago from the last time you swung them like that."

Their lips connected in a loving kiss, showing the other how much they were missed.

"You love it and you know it."

Arwen smiled against his lips. "I do."
