COMPATIBLE DAMAGE

Fourteen- silence before the storm

I felt someone nudge me and slowly opened my eyes.
My vision was blurry and a million silver dots dancing before my eyes.
Enzo and I were laying on a carpet in the common room,  Blaise, Pansy and Daphne standing above us.

I was wearing a dress made of..leafs and had something stuck to my forehead.
I didn't know what time it was but I was feeling all giggly and light, meaning the drug hasn't fully worn off.

"Wake uuup." Daphne laughed at us.
I sat up trying to focus when I heard a click and opened my eyes wide seeing Blaise hide a polaroid in his pocket. "I'm saving this forever." He had a devilish grin on his face.

I looked to my left and saw Enzo sitting up as well, clearly confused too.
He had his wand glued to his forehead and his eyes met mine in shock. "You-"
"You-!" We shouted pointing at each other in disbelief while the others laughed at us.

"Can someone fucking help?!" Enzo sent a death- stare at them making them laugh even harder.
Finally Daphne casted a spell freeing our wands.

"We are never speaking of this, ever." I said as Enzo pulled me to my feet.

He was wearing slippers.

three. leafs.

"We so are." Pansy chuckled close to tears.
"What time is it?" I asked.
"Um, it's 8am" Daphne checked her watch.
So that means I have an hour left to fully sober up.

I was feeling odd.
Like I could see where my limbs are but if I closed my eyes I wouldn't be able to tell where they are or if i had them at all.
All my senses were sending hundreds of signals per second but i still felt calm and safe.

"What the hell happened last night?" Blaise looked in between me and Enzo.
"We took Dragon's Breath.-" Enzo answered.

For some reason every time i looked at him or thought of him i heard like an inner voice in my head saying 'birdie' very seriously as if it actually meant something.
Maybe it was because we started the night at the Owlery but i don't know, it's ridiculous anyway.

"- but i'd say we did pretty good considering we're alive, in one piece." he continued proudly.
"Pretty good? Bitch you two rode a fucking Centaur from the Forbidden forest to the Great Hall!!
We were working our asses off to keep you two alive and making sure no one would notice." Pansy was amused.

Her words triggered a flashback..oh.
"Yeah, we thought he was a unicorn and wanted to make a pack and beat up the acromantulas..like a gang war." I scratched the back of my head embarrassed with my own actions.
"Oh i remember the Indian hunting noises we made." Birdie- i mean Enzo chuckled.

"I better go before Theo finds us like this." I left for my dorm to get myself to look decent.
"Remember we're going to Hogsmeade today!" Daphne shouted from down the stairs.
"How could i forget!" I smiled at her, opening the door to my dorm.

Uuuggggghhhhhh.
I forgot about that.
I was excited to go there but all i wanted not was to sleep.

I quickly showered and wrapped a warm towel around my small figure.
Everything seemed like a fairytale, as if there were little honey-birds around me singing because it's morning.
It always made me confused why they always sing because 'the sun woke up' but you do you i guess.

Colors were more vivid.
The towel warmly hugged my body.
All my worries washed away for now.
Everything just felt happy and joyful.
I wiped some steam from the mirror where my face was.
My reflection started smiling at me.
...that's less happy more creepy, i left the bathroom in a hurry a little scared.
