25- Izabelle and the Fortress of trust issues

He stood there staring at my hands in pure shock.

His jaw opened, eyes wide.

"H-how? W-why..H-h" he stuttered.

"Enzo, hey, hey calm down." i slowly wakes over to him.

He took a step back but then i opened my arms and he let me hug him.

My hands were still warm as i clutched onto him.

"I'm sorry i didn't tell you." i mumbled into his neck.

His fear faded as he wrapped his arms around me.

"How long?"

"Since i was born. But it has to be kept a secret, the dark Lord will hunt me otherwise. Please, Enzo." i softly murmured.

"Please what?"

"Please keep it a secret. Please forgive me."

"I'm kinda offended that you didn't trust me with this, but i understand. I think you already know you're safe with me, always." i felt him smile against my skin.

"Thank you, you're the best." i pulled away.

"I know." he smirked.  "Have you found anything about the Infery?"

i had a mini heart attack.
i didn't tell him about the diary.

"What?" i blurted out.

"You know, haven't you guys been reading about it in the library?..."

Oh-

"Yes! Yes, we have and um.. we haven't found anything yet."

i didn't want to tell him about the diary.

nobody knew about it.

although i did actually want to tell him, it's more that..i couldn't.

"Actually now that you know. I've checked before, there is no way to bring him back to his human form. Any way that the books speak of..i want to bring him back with my powers." i really hoped he would take my side on this.

"Can you do that? It's different than melting metal. It's actually more like..necromancy." he sounded kind of worried.

"I don't know honestly. I have to try, he's the only way we can find that horcrux. I haven't found the limits of my powers or the way to define them, they're kind of like just magic, but more powerful. I don't need to use my wand and i can do things that are considered  unachievable." i did have another motive as to why i wanted to bring Regulus back so much, but he didn't need to know that.

He would probably not approve of it anyway.

It's been weeks since Enzo found out the truth.
He's been helping me experiment with my powers to figure them out.

So far we just suspect that they're pure magic, like every wizard or witch has, only stronger.

Much stronger and getting even more when my emotions are triggered.

Which seems to be the case a lot these days.

Seasons have changed, instead of golden leafs there were now silver flakes falling on the ground.

White shiny snow covered the grounds thickly.

I was now in the Great Hall eating breakfast with Pansy.
No matter what was happening my friends always could brush it away just for a moment.

The atmosphere was awkward, unmatched.

I could hear countless laughs.
The scent of apples and cinnamon sweetening our moods.
