The month of January was ending. Steve and Olivia were spending a lot of time around each other.
After school, there were times where Billy drove her home, and other days when Billy had a date to attend to, Steve would take her home. There were times Billy would ask her who took her home, and she had told him a friend. Billy didn't believe her, but his mind was somewhere else, and he didn't care that much to ask around.
One day after school, Steve was driving Max and Olivia back home, but Max wanted to visit Lucas, so Steve dropped her off. Olivia and Steve went to his house instead. They were at the kitchen table. Olivia was taking her homework out, "are we really doing our homework," Steve said, sitting down next to her. "I have a test Thursday that I need to study for," she told him. "Is there something else you want to do," she asked him, putting her pencil down. He shook his head, "Of course not homework it is."
Steve got out his book and started to do his homework, but he didn't get that far. He was easily distracted. First, he got a glass of water, then he made a paper airplane that he started to play with, and after 15 minutes he went to the restroom.
"That's it I'm helping you," Olivia said to Steve when he got out of the restroom. "With what" "With your homework Steve you are graduating in a few months." "and I couldn't be happier" "you might need to work on your grades, come on, sit."
For the next hour or so, Olivia helped Steve with his homework. For the most part, he knew the answers; he just needed to focus more. "I'm so proud of you," she told him, kissing his cheek.
She closed the books and started putting them inside her bag. "You have to leave already," Steve asked. Her father was home around 5, and she wanted to be home before that time. Steve always asked her if she had to go so soon. "You know I have to," she said, wrapping her arms behind his neck. "Yeah, I know, well, let's go."
They picked up Max "let's go," Olivia screamed from the car as Max was kissing Lucas.
Max and Lucas started dating around the same time Steve asked her out. Olivia was happy for her little sister.
And Max found out one day when she saw Steve getting out of Olivia's window. She went to her room and asked her. "I just saw the weirdest thing," Max told Olivia walking inside the oldest girl's room. "What did you see," asked Olivia, sitting on her bed. "I saw Steve Harrington jump out of your window," Max said, sitting down on Olivia's bed. "You did, huh well, that is weird." "How long have you two been dating, and you didn't tell me," Max said, hitting Olivia on her leg. "Keep it down. Not too long." Max had a big smile on her face "I told you about Lucas, but you didn't tell me about Steve" "Because you came into my room to tell me. I didn't ask."
"Were you going to even tell me about you and Steve?" "Eventually sure. Max you know if they ever find out about Steve or Lucas-" "We are dead, yeah I know"
Both girls look down sadly. "Just be careful." "I'm always careful," Max told her.
