The next stop was going to be Eddie's trailer, where they would go through the gate to the upside down.
As they got closer to the trailer park, Olivia had a weird feeling that something terrible would happen.
She knew it was an inevitable feeling since they were going to be face to face with Vecna.
Steve could sense Olivia's worry. He looked at her after he parked the camper and held her hand. "Hey, they're going to be okay," he tried to assure her. Even though he didn't even accept his own comment.
They couldn't back out anymore; their plan was in motion.
She took a deep breath and stared into his eyes.
She had doubts in this plan, a lot of things could go wrong, but looking into his eyes, she knew there's no one in this world she wanted to fight a monster from another dimension with.
"Okay, let's go over the plan one more time," she informed the group, squishing Steve's hand.
"Phase one."
"We meet Erica at the playground. She'll signal Max and Lucas when we're ready," Robin answered.
"Phase two," Olivia said, holding two fingers.
"Max baits Vecna. He'll go after her, which will put him in his trance," Steve said next to her.
She nodded, "Phase three."
Dustin answered, "Eddie and I draw the bats away," he pointed at Eddie, who was standing behind him. Eddie smiled and hugged him from the back.
"Lastly, phase four."
"We head into Vecna's newly bat-free lair, and...flambé," Robin said, holding the glass bottle that she had filled with gasoline.
"Nobody moves on to the next phase until we've all copied. Nobody deviates from the plan, no matter what," Olivia said in a serious tone looking at every single one of them.
Eddie gave her a small smile "got it."
They got their weapons ready. Olivia got her axe from the passenger seat where she had left it, and they headed out of the camper.
They quickly made their way into Eddie's trailer. Steve turned on the lights, and it's the first one to climb the rope.
"Be careful," Dustin said as Steve began to climb. "Thanks buddy."
Once he was on the other side, he effortlessly did a flip, landing on his feet.
He looked through the gate at everyone else with a smile on his face. Olivia blushed when Steve made eye contact with her.
"What does he want us to do, applaud," Robin asked next to Olivia. She smiled at Robin's comment as Steve brought the mattress for them to land.
First they tossed all the weapons through the gate; once Steve moved them out to the side, the others climbed.
Climbing up, Olivia was a little nervous that she would fall into the void again, and this time she wouldn't get out, but luckily for her, she didn't; she simply fell to the mattress.
Steve extended his hand to help her get up. Their chests were close together, their faces just centimeters apart. If the circumstances were different, she would have kissed him. She mumbled a quick thank you and moved out of the way as Robin fell.
Dustin was the last one to go through the gate.
With all their weapons in hand, they walked out of the trailer.
