Another corpse was found the next morning by the highway.
It was the body of a young teen Fred Benson. He was a journalist and Olivia remembered seeing him working during the basketball game with Nancy.
Olivia was getting ready to go to the library to look for something; she remembered what Eddie had said the night before when the officers that were near her house left rapidly.
She got in her car and went to the scene to know if this could be related to Vecna.
She couldn't get close to them since the officers were blocking the view, but she got a glimpse of the body and what she saw was far from normal.
That's something that she had learned to accept while living in Hawkins.
She saw Steve, Robin, Max, and Dustin arriving at the scene as well.
The group didn't know if Vecna was doing the bidding of the Mind Flayer this time around or just enjoyed killing teens for fun but what they were sure about was that its something different. Something completely new, and that's the scary part. The not knowing how to defeat it.
But it didn't make sense; this was the second teen killed in a week. They could have been simply at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Max had informed the group that Chrissy looked upset after leaving Ms. Kelley's office.
Maybe Chrissy saw Vecna and told her. You wouldn't exactly go to the police and tell them they'd never believe it.
That was their next move; they were going to talk to Ms. Kelley and see what she knew.
Olivia, on the other hand, had something else in mind. After they left Eddie at the shed, she couldn't stop thinking about how he saw Chrissy.
It reminded her of something else, and then it hit her a few weeks ago; while she was working in the library, an older woman was reading something, and she had stopped Olivia while she was fixing the new arrivals.
The older woman was going all about all the strange things that were happening in Hawkins and how it reminded her of something that happened when she was younger.
A man named Victor Creel and his family had just moved to Hawkins when bad things started happening to them.
The woman had told Olivia how Victor killed his family by taking their eyes out; the way that they were killed couldn't be explained.
She wanted to know more information about Victor Creel. She was on her way to her car when she was stopped by Steve.
"Whoa whoa, Olli-Olivia, where are you going," Steve said, sprinting toward her.
"I remembered something that I need to check first."
"Something you wanna share with us," Dustin asked her.
"I don't wanna waste your time. It's something quick that I want to check, that's all. It's a real shot in the dark," she explained.
"Yeah, okay. Are you out of your mind? Flying solo with Vecna on the loose? It's too dangerous," Steve said in a serious tone.
"You need...You need someone to... here" He threw his keys back at Robin.
"I'll stick with Olivia" Olivia rolled her eyes, "Take the car, check out the shrink," he told Robin.
"Steve, I can take care of myself," Olivia told him with her arms crossed over her chest. He looked at her and was about to say something when Robin said, "I don't think you want me driving your car."
