Dustin's plan was to go to his house and lay low, but that didn't happen since Steve had told the Russian Dustin's full name. A few Russians were at the mall looking for them; they had to look for a place to hide. All the stores were closed, and people had already left.
The five of them were hiding behind the counter of The Great Cookie. It would have been better if they went to different places, maybe that way they had a chance. The four Russians were slowly walking toward where they were hiding, holding guns. They were done talking; they were going to kill them.
Olivia felt like she couldn't breathe. This town wasn't as boring as she thought when she arrived, now she was going to die, killed by evil Russians with her boyfriend. Steve noticed her worried expression and held her hand with his thumb; he caressed her hand and gave her a small smile; he didn't know if they were going to survive, but he knew he didn't want anything to happen to Olivia.
But as Olivia thought they were getting caught, a car alarm could be heard, making the Russians turn to observe the red car, but no one was inside. On the second floor of the mall, Eleven was in the middle of the group with her powers; she threw the car at the Russians. Olivia looked at the car that was now flipped on the other side of the mall, the Russians dead on the floor.
Olivia was mostly surprised to see Billy with Eleven and the rest of the kids. The group ran down to the first floor of the mall where Olivia was. She couldn't believe that Billy was there, he was standing next to Max. Olivia rushed to where Max was and surprised her with a hug. "Are you ok?" Olivia asked, breaking the hug and looking at her sister. "Am I okay? O, have you seen your face," Max said gently, touching her cheek, which had a small purple bruise. "Yeah, you look like shit," Billy said with a small smile, happy to see that Olivia was alive, but he wasn't going to tell her that. "I've missed you, William," Olivia said with a smile, bumping his shoulder with her fist.
Everyone gathered around, catching up on what had happened in the last 48 hours. Robin found out that El had superpowers "c'mon, catch up," Steve said to her, pointing at El. Robin blinked a few times, shocked by the news, not knowing what to say.
Nancy looked weirdly at Robin; she didn't know who she was and how she got here. "I'm Robin. I work with Steve," Robin explained quickly. "She cracked the top-secret code, which is how we know about the Russians," Dustin said excitedly, looking at his new friend.
"Wait, Russians?"
"What are you talking about?"
"What Russians?"
"Didn't you hear our code red?" Dustin said to everyone who had questions about the Russians.
"Couldn't understand what you were saying," Mike said, looking at Dustin. "Goddamn low battery," Dustin said. "How many times do I have to tell you with the low battery?" Steve said to Dustin, reminding him once again.
"Well, everything worked out, didn't it?" Dustin said. "Worked out? We almost died," Erica said, looking at Dustin. Olivia nodded; Billy looked at her and was able to have a closer look at her face. She had a bruise on her cheek, a small bruise by her chin, and a busted lip. He looked down at her hand with an eyebrow raised when he saw one of her fingers was purple with a little blood on the fingernail. Feeling that Billy was watching her, she placed her hand on top of her other hand, he looked back at her, but she was looking at Steve as he was talking with Dustin.
She had looked worse before, but this time it was different; she had been in danger. Those Russians hurt his sister, and he didn't know what else they did to her. And to top it all, not only was their father the new Will but this time much worse, but also there was a high chance that Susan was dead.
Hopper, Joyce, and a guy named Murray had arrived at the mall. While the rest of the group were talking about the gate and the mind flayer, Billy pulled Olivia to the side. "What is it," Olivia asked Billy, looking at him curiously.
Steve looked back at her; she smiled at him, letting him know that it was okay whatever Billy had in mind. "That thing," Billy started by saying. "Its dad, he is the leader; he's making an army," Billy said, looking at her. He wanted to be the one to tell her and not just find out by everyone else. She didn't say anything, only looked at him what could she say so Billy continued talking "that thing melts people to make a bigger monster and one of them might have been Susan," he said her name quietly; he didn't know if Max knew or if she had her suspicions.
Olivia looked at Max as she was standing between Lucas and Steve. "She doesn't know," she whispered. Billy shook his head, "I don't think so."
"Did he hurt her," she asked, looking at Billy. Once again, he shook his head "good," Olivia said. "We should wait to tell her once we are sure right," Olivia said with crossed arms looking at her brother.
Billy looked at Max, she was the biggest pain, but they were family now. Back in the sauna test, Neil mentioned how he didn't want to hurt her; Neil was most likely referring to Susan. And now, knowing what he is doing with the people for his army.
While Billy and Olivia were talking, Murray came running back to the group with several papers showing the blueprints of the Russian underground facility. But it wasn't accurate, Erica and Dustin knew the way, but Hopper didn't want them there with them. He told them they could be the navigator but from a safe place. Dustin was going to be the navigator in the highest point of Hawkins, where he had Cerebro.
"Steve, come on, we have to go," Dustin said they couldn't lose any time. He threw the keys to Robin "give me a minute, I'll be right there," he told them. "Just hurry," Dustin told him.
Steve jogged up to where Olivia was, "Ollie," Steve called her once he was closer. Both Olivia and Billy looked at Steve. Olivia left her brother's side and walked up to Steve, "I'm going to help Dustin if you want to come," he said to her.
Olivia opened her mouth to say something and looked over her shoulder at Billy. Billy was hearing their conversation not too far away with his arms crossed and staring at Steve intensely. "I'm staying here, Max and Billy are also staying, and my father would be here," she told him; Steve grabbed her hand "hey, I understand. Please be careful," he said, leaning their forehead touching.
"I will," she said to him, placing her hand on his cheek softly, not wanting to hurt him. She leaned in and kissed him on the lips. Steve placed his hand on her back, wanting her closer to him. As the two of them got lost in their kiss, they forgot that Billy was near "that enough, Harrington," Billy said, pulling him from the back of his uniform.
Billy moved in front of Olivia; she just rolled her eyes, "be careful," she told Steve. He nodded and ran out of the mall to where Robin, Dustin, and Erica were already in the car waiting for him.
Olivia watched as Steve drove off, "I still don't like him," Billy said, his arms crossed over his chest with a straight face. "Good thing you aren't dating him," she told him and walked away.
