Moments later, I found myself navigating through various corridors, past oak doors left, right, left, left, right.....

Nova's arm was looped around my shoulder and she was blabbering about how this will be my new home blah, blah, blah.

I simply zoned out and replayed my last conversation with Freya and hot du— I mean Ferdinand.

Freya had suggested that we go to the Dining Hall to have some breakfast. I didn't want breakfast. I wanted answers!

".....and that is why I cannot imagine my life without this place!"

"Mmhmm" I answered.

Nova told me that where I currently am was the Warmage Academy or in simple words a school where they taught them magic and the art of warfare through magical artillery. There were different Mystics with different powers. Nova was the Mystic of Sunlight and Brightness.

I had pointed out to her that in the Oxford dictionary, the meaning of a mystic is " a person who seeks to know God through contemplation and prayer."

She had  answered, "That is what the Palenthians think. Mystics inspire a sense of mystery and awe and magic!"

I sighed. These twisted people and their twisted meanings.

Soon we reach the Dining Hall. Hall wasn't the word for what I saw. I was out in the daylight. The sun shining too brightly, the grass too green. The multicoloured and unusual species of flowers gave off a sweet scent. The sky was a deep shade of blue, minus any clouds. Colourful butterflies flitted around and I felt muzzy. There was a huge lake nearby with sparkling blue water. There were two long tables with food and small circular tables with stools to sit and eat, occupied by various others of my age, some older and some younger. Such grandeur all in one place. I stared open-mouthed. Nova laughed.

"This is nothing, Florentyna!"

"Renna." I was still awestruck.

"Huh?" She looked confused.

"You can call me Renna. It is a nickname," I said.

"Alright Renna. C'mon, let us hog!"

She pulled me along. I saw Daphne with her friends and waved towards her. She smiled. We reached one of the two long tables.

"What can the Mystics of Nosh get ya, Nova?" A guy with with brown hair and grey, almost silver eyes grinned.

"Nosh?" I ask.

"According to the Oxford dictionary, nosh means food." Nova smirked.

"Whoa! Okay!" I smiled.

She is not that bad.

"And I would prefer the entire buffet laid out, Julian," she said to the guy.

"Careful, my dear. You would lose that shapely figure of yours." He winked and walked away taking a bite of his apple.

Nova stood and just shook her head. We picked up our plates and piled it with food. I changed my mind as soon as I saw the delicious nosh!

We walked to a circular table and set our plates down. There were two other girls already seated. Nova introduced me to them. They looked at me curiously and I felt self-conscious.
"Hi! I am Ben," said a girl with chocolate brown skin, and bushy brown hair tied in a bun. She gestured to her friend, "And this is Eva."

Eva had a pixie cut. Her hair was a definite shade of pink. She had attractive green eyes and I liked her instantly as she gave me a huge smile.
There was not much talking only eating.

"So you saved Nova from the demon?" Bex asked, a tad bit irritated that she could not witness that scene.

"It was a fluke." I shrugged.

"You're being modest." Eva remarked.

"No, I am not." I laughed. "If you'll excuse me."

I got up for a second helping of warm milk. I noticed that it was mixed with cinnamon and honey and was the sweetest thing I had in a while.

I hummed a tune and walked up to the table serving the milk. I filled my cup to the brim, turning I slammed into something hard, spilling my milk all over it. I looked up.

Him. I spilled my milk over a him.

He looked mad and yelled, "Are you blind? Can't you see where you are walking?"

"I am so sorry. It was an accident," I blurted out.

"Accident? My foot!" he spat.

"It was an accident!" I said, hotly gazing into his blue-green eyes. His dark hair was a mess, making it apparent that he just woke up from a slumber.

"Liar! That was not an accident!"
He was being totally impossible. Impulsively and rashly, I dumped the remaining milk on him.

"Now this wasn't an accident. Happy?" I screamed.

Regaining his composure, he gave me an amused smile.

"Yeah?"

"Yes." I gritted my teeth.

Before I knew it, a gush of water erupted from the lake, drenching me. It was like I took an unexpected shower. It was so sudden and swift, I knew it was meant only for me. The water was cold.

"That wasn't an accident either," he smirked and walked off. I was cold and wet from head to toe.

There was a deathly silence as someone screeched, "Ryan Carter!" The guy who drenched me turned.
