43. Drinks

In the middle of the cheering crowd stood Zhan, Simon, and Zhehan.

"Brother, Marquis I heard that you two are going for drinking today? would you mind if I and the prince join?"

Zhehan spoke, "I have no problem and then the two looked at Simon, who was looking at Zhan with a hard stare before smiling, "Sure."

"Thank you, brother; I and the prince will meet you at the bar then." With that Zhan left but as soon as he was gone Simon's face had become cold.

"You seem tensed Duke," Zhehan asked.

Simin took a deep breath, "I had a sudden realization today, Marquis."

"What?" Zhehan asked with curiosity.

"I have realized that not everything that our eyes see and our ears hear is the reality," Simon said although Zhehan didn't understand what he meant he still nodded.

But Simon was only looking ahead he saw the knights picking up the heads of Raymond's family followed by their bodies before driving a spear through their bodies and taking them towards the imperial walls to be displayed.

Meanwhile, in the imperial palace, the emperor praised Yibo for his bravery and courage, "I am really impressed, prince to reward you for your bravery I will...make you the crown prince of this empire"

Yibo's eyes widened and so did the empress and the first prince's.

The emperor smiled while Yibo came back to his sense and kneeled in front of the emperor, "I accept your majesty."

The emperor smiled and nodded, "Soo, a huge celebration will be held to announce you as the crown prince."

Yibo smiled and bowed While the emperor proceeded to walk out of the room the empress tried to call out to him but the emperor gave her a cold gaze and that made her shut up.

Yibo became the crown prince, meaning the most powerful person after the emperor, the heir the next king.

No, No, No how come everything has become a mess? 

Yibo stood up from his place, "Mother empress, now just sit back and watch me taking that throne right in front of your eyes, while you watch helplessly."

Yibo then walked out of the room leaving the empress and the first prince together, the first prince collapsed on the floor," If he becomes the emperor then he will kill us mother, we need to find a way to survive."

The empress clenched her fist, "There is only one way to survive now."

"What mother?" The first prince looked at her.

The empress's eyes went cold, "We will rebel"

The first prince froze, rebellion. Yes, that's what they need rebellion if they want to survive then they need to fight.

Meanwhile, Yibo met with Zhan, who was waiting for him outside the imperial palace,"You seem really happy, did something happen?"

Yibo smiled, "Let's go for drinks I will tell everyone together."

Zhan nodded and the two walked away from the imperial palace, the two soon met Simon and Zhehan at the bar.

"You look really happy today Prince," Zhehan said.

"Of course I am" Yibo replied, "today when I saw the empress all helpless and sad it made me feel relaxed, years ago I was at her place and saw my mother and her family beheaded, and today she is in my place, I can finally visit my mother's and Nanny's grave without regret."

Simon smiled, "congratulations then Prince, I hope you will continue to gather such victories in the future as well, you have my full support."

Yibo smiled, "Thank you, Duke, how I lose when I have the support of such great people, but I want all of you to be healthy and wealthy as well"

Zhehan smiled, "I can't say about healthy but we are all wealthy."

Yibo then raised his glass, "Cheers everyone"

The others also raised their glasses and cheered before drinking.

"Now there is another good news I have to give you all" Yibo spoke.

"Go ahead prince," Zhan said, "I have been eagerly waiting."

Yibo smiled and poured drinks in his and everyone else's glass, "Imperial father has told me that he will hold a huge celebration to announce me as the crown prince of this empire."

Everyone's eyes widened before they smiled brightly. 

"Really?" Zhan asked, "Is it really true?"

Yibo nodded, "yes it is, the invitations for the celebrations will be sent soon."

Simon smiled brightly as well, "Congratulations Your highness, I wish you all the best. "

Zhehan spoke next, "Congrats, prince I am sure you will be a good ruler."

Yibo didn't reply to that, he had no intention to be a ruler of these filthy people, he is just happy because soon he will behead the first prince Danielle and the empress.

Zhan also smiled since he knew his intentions very well.

Yibo then raised his glass for a toast, and everyone did the same.

"Duke Simon, Sir Zhan, can I ask you something?" Zhehan asked. 

"Go ahead" Simon spoke.

 "I would like to know that where were you both these past ten years and after seeing your talents and swordsmanship I assume that both of you must have a really good Master."

"I will let Zhan answer your question. " Simon said and drank his alcohol.

"Well, after the accident I and My brother were taken in by master, our master is a beautiful and powerful lady, she raised us and took care of us, so she is like our family."

"What is your Master's name," Yibo asked.

Zhan smiled gently before replying, "Her name is Yanli."

Yibo and Zhehan nodded, before Yibo spoke, "She seems to be a great master."

Zhan smiled and spoke, "My master is truly great,t she is beautiful, she is wise, powerful, and kind she is everything you can think she is perfection."

Simon also smiled, Zhan respects Master a lot.

"I think this is the first time I have seen you praising someone so genuinely," Yibo said.

"What do you mean prince? I have praised you as well and I have always been genuine."

Yibo snorted, "Half of the time when I am with you, you are either scheming or taunting, I am pretty sure you are scheming something right now as well."

"Waah, seriously prince? you don't trust me huh?"

Yibo smiled, and said jokingly, "How can I trust a person who doesn't even know how to ride a horse."

This made Zhehan smile as well, "Is that true? Sir Zhan, you don't know how to ride a horse?"

Yibo answered, "Yes it's true, when he sat on the horse with me got so scared that he started begging, and then when I asked him to try riding the horse, instead of trying to control he jumped down from it."

Everyone laughed and Zhehan spoke, "That's a shocking discovery,"

"Thanks a lot, a prince for your praise" Zhan said and drank his alcohol.

"Duke Simon do you know how to ride a horse?" Zhehan asked.

Simon answered, "Of course, I am not a scardey-cat like certain someone."

"Brother!" Zhan said while others laughed.
