23. Truth

"Welcome to the imperial palace, Sir Sean and Simon." Yibo welcomed them with a smile.

"Thank you, your highness."

"Allow me to guide you to your room." Yibo said and walked forwards while the brothers followed him, "sure Simon back then you had shown me excellent swordsmanship one day I would like to have a dual with you."

"You are too kind your highness, it wasn't anything special."

"Hahaha well back then you had me impressed I wonder how will I react when you will show your true power."

Simon only smiled, "I have heard a lot you from your brother ? order Simon I hope we can get along well."

Simon glanced at Zhan who only smiled at him," I wish to get along with you as well your highness. I have also heard a lot about you from my brother."

Yibo then stood in front of a room," well Then enjoy your stay and if you need anything then you can send a servant to me."

The brother bowed, "Thank you, your highness."

Once Yibo was gone Simon quickly walked in the room and there himself on the bed, "finally I can rest now will you tell me, brother, why we are here?"

Zhan has been trying to avoid his conversation all this time his brother didn't push him but just how long can he avoid this talk.

And what is he going to tell Simon? Simon does not have his memory so he does not remember that he is the son of duke Zhan wonders if he gives him his memory then he will be attached to duke and Irene and that won't be good.

Zhan won't be able to tolerate his brother will turn his back on him.

And he also doesn't want to remember his past life that would be disastrous,  then what should he say to him?

Simon who observed Zhan's face knew that there was something that he was hiding from him. Ever since they were kids there were many times Zhan would break down and hug him to sleep, Zhan has always been protective of him as if he was always scared that someone would take him away from Zhan.

Simon tried to ask many times why he was like this but Zhan would always replay that he just loves him too much and because he was his only family.

As they grew up Simon only had Zhan as his family he had no memory of his mom or dad so of course, Zhan was very dear to him.

But many times Simon thought that Zhan wanted to protect him from something or someone for a child Zhan had always been mature for his age.

Simon wonders what it is that has even bothering his brother for so many years, what exactly is the reason for his tears and nightmare all these years.

And when and how he has met the prince, that is something that Simon has always wanted to know.

Seeing that Zhan Clenched his fist and was in deep thought Simon knew that he was bothered by his question so he got up and tapped his nose bringing Zhan out of his thoughts,

" Whenever I also you anything about your purpose you always makes this face but promise me to tell me everything later, but looks like I have been very lenient on you because you always break this promise.

And breaking a promise is not a good thing brother I will complain to master about this."

Zhan smiled faintly, "I am sorry brother, I don't know where to start."

Simon sighed, "if it's becoming to think and do something then just do it and then think, just stop thinking Zhan and tell me why we are here?"

Zhan sighed, the emotions and sentiments that he and Yibo have towards this Kingdom are very different from Simon's.
